A cute Betty Boop figurine that I simply couldn't resist!

If you are familiar with my reviews you will be aware that I adore Betty Boop and I recently said a sad goodbye to new purchases solely due to the fact that space in my home is now somewhat limited. However, my husband also seems to have developed a passion for this adorable lady and as a result, he carefully planned a quick move around of our furniture to enable us to purchase a further Ikea Detolf storage cabinet. We visited Bristol last weekend and as we hadn't shopped in the area for a good few years I had no idea of any Betty Boop stockists, so I stopped a stranger and asked.

I had to giggle at her response because she asked "is that the cartoon character with a weird looking big head?" She provided directions to a shop selling collectables and I was thrilled when I peered into the window, as there was a huge sign displaying the delightful words "10% off all Betty Boop figurines". I couldn't get through the door fast enough and was like a child in a sweet shop! After careful consideration, one (or should I say, two) purchases were made and whilst I've yet to visit Ikea to purchase my new cabinet, a few more Betty figurines have found their way into our home and this review discusses Betty Boop Bunny Girl.

This gorgeous figurine stands at approximately 30 cm in height to the tips of her bunny ears and is manufactured entirely from resin. She is securely fixed to an 8½ cm diameter glossy stand with its' underside bearing the name of the owners of the Betty Boop Trademark, namely The Hearst Holdings Inc. There are four tiny felt pads fixed to the base, which I presume were attached by the store owner to ensure that Betty was securely displayed on his glass shelves.

If you are aware of the character Betty Boop you will know that she tends to show rather a lot of flesh and this figurine is no exception, as she wears an extremely short brightly pink coloured mini dress, which hugs her perfectly curvaceous figure. As you can see from the image I provided to Dooyoo, Betty's right hand is resting behind her head with her left arm touching the top of her slender left thigh. Betty's long sexy legs are highlighted by her white high heeled ankle strapped sandals and as usual, she stands in such a position that her rear end considerably sticks out behind her!

Her strappy dress is perfect for her figure and displays her rather ample cleavage. The workmanship in this figurine is simply superb, which is something I mention in almost all of my figurine reviews, as the manufacturer always seems to pay careful attention to every little detail. For example, each of Betty's toes are clearly defined and there are always creases in the resin fabric of her clothes to create the illusion of the real thing. Betty's cute bunny ears have been designed in the identical colour to her dress and they stand at 4 cm in height.

She wears golden hoop earrings and whilst her facial features are normally the same in one figurine to the next, I don't know if it's my imagination, but Betty's ruby red lips appear to be smiling as opposed to her usual pout. Her stunning green eyes are looking upwards and her black eyebrows are perfectly groomed. The reverse side of the figurine is as equally stunning as the front, as Betty is displaying her perfectly rounded bottom. The manufacturers have also created a faint line running down Betty's spine to create the illusion of her skin, which is slightly pushed back due to the position of her right arm.

Betty's beautiful black glossy curls are always identical in each of the figurines that I own where we see eight curvy spikes running along the top of her head, three spikes along the nape of her neck and a further eight spikes around her hairline. The figurine is fairly heavy and I would guess that it weighs around a kilogram, which tends to be the standard weight for a figurine of this height. Although I've yet to clean this figurine, I can see that it will be quite easy, particularly as there are no hard to reach areas, so a normal yellow household duster will suffice.

This figurine is part of the 2011 Betty Boop collection and retails for £50, but as previously stated, I was fortunate enough to receive a 10% discount. She is readily available on Amazon where many sellers offer free postage and packing. I cannot recommend this figurine highly enough, as she is simply perfect for any Betty Boop fan such as myself. Consequently, Betty Boop Bunny Girl receives 5 stars from me.

I hope you found my review useful and would thank you for reading.
