As you are no doubt aware I am Betty Boop mad and I recently purchased my fifth and final Ikea Detolf Glass Display cabinet in which to store my beautiful figurines. Unfortunately, due to lack of space my purchases are now becoming rather scarce, unless of course I win the lottery and can purchase a mansion so I can continue adding to my rather large collection! My latest Betty purchase was from Amazon and her name is Betty Boop Cool Breeze, which I had to product suggestion to Dooyoo. I had been admiring this figurine for many months and as it was rather pricey I had been saving my Dooyoo miles to enable me to exchange them for Amazon vouchers.

The figurine is one of the largest and heaviest I have purchased from Amazon and stands at 15 inches in height and weighs just over a kilogram. There is an authenticity logo on the underside, which advises us that the figurine has been manufactured by the owners of the Betty Boop trademark, namely Hearst Holdings Inc.

This is an absolute stunning collectable, particularly as we see Betty in the famous Marilyn Monroe pose where she stands over a silver grate with her beautiful white flowing dress blowing up around her. Whilst I was aware that this pose was to promote her forthcoming film at that time, namely The Seven Year Itch I did not realise that her husband thought the pose vulgar. The workmanship on the entire figurine is simply first class, even down to the silver grate on which Betty stands. At first glance the grate appears to be manufactured from metal as it looks so realistic, but I would advise that it has been made from resin as has the entire figurine.

The figurine perfectly captures the famous pose where we see the rear of her dress considerably raised to reveal her tiny white pants. Betty carefully holds down on the front of her dress in exactly the same pose as Ms Monroe in order to cover her modesty. This collectable shows every tiny fabric crease as it has been carefully designed to depict each movement of the flowing fabric.

I'm sure you are all aware of the design of the famous dress, but I will provide a little detail just in case. The bodice section is sleeveless and depicts Betty's very slim and long slender arms. It fits snuggling around her ample sized breasts and is quite tight fitting around both her tiny waist and hips where it flows out into beautiful reams of fabric in order to create that stunning pose.

Betty is a woman who absolutely adores her jewellery and this figurine sees her wearing a chunky golden hoop bangle on each of her tiny wrists and a pair of matching earrings. Betty is also very much the fashion queen and this figurine shows her wearing an extremely high pair of sexy red stilleto shoes. Her legs are elegantly posed with the heel of her left foot raised to enable her to rest solely on her toes.

Betty's hair is always depicted by eight cute spiky points, which run along the top of her head to create the illusion of her gorgeous pretty curls. All of the Betty figurines perfectly display her stunning facial features where we see her huge green eyes looking sideways and extra long black eyelashes. Betty's lips are puckered and are made up with ruby red lipstick.

This is a really stunning collectable, which would appeal to both Betty Boop and Marilyn Monroe fans. As this figurine has many hard to reach areas and as suggested by a kind Dooyoo member I use a small clean paintbrush to access those awkward nooks and crannies.

I cannot recommend this figurine highly enough and it receives a full 5 stars from me. If you are interested in purchasing Betty Boop Cool Breeze I would advise that you can find her on Amazon for £45.99 plus £4.65 P+P. I was absolutely thrilled to receive her within two days after my purchase where she was superbly protected in a cardboard box and a layer of bubble wrap.
