I have been a collector of Betty Boop figurines for a couple of years now and am only now really getting round to reviewing some of my collection. This Betty Boop figurine was one of the first in my collection and was a gift from my husband 'just because'. He loves to collect figurines himself and I am sure that sometimes he buys me one figurine to justify spending a few hundred on a figurine for himself.

This Betty Boop figurine retails for around £50.00 like the majority that I collect but my husband may have paid slightly less for it I'm not entirely sure as I never ask how much things cost when they were gifts.

This is quite a substantial figurine and it sits approximately 15 inches in height and weighs around 2.5 pounds. This figurine stands built in to a circular piece that allows it to stay upright and means that it can be stood amongst other figurines with no problems at all. The bottom of the circular piece is stamped with an authenticity logo and I always check for this when I buy a new Betty Boop or when I receive one from someone else.

This is one of the most well known poses for a Betty Boop figurine. Betty is playing the famous Marilyn Monroe post and she is standing on her usual circular piece and this time it takes on the form of a silver grate much like the one which Marilyn pulled her flowing dress pose over.

This figurine is made incredibly well. Betty's dress is flowing like Marilyn's dress did and it looks fantastic. The dress is raised up at the back and Betty is wearing white underwear to preserve her modesty. Betty is using her hands to keep her dress lowered at the front and this makes her pose exactly that of Marilyn Monroe. The dress looks wonderful and you can see every line in the dress. Every part of Betty is sculpted wonderfully and she looks thin and beautiful like she always does. Betty's eyes are facing to an angle like they often are and she is wearing her usual make-up and her hair is styled in her usual manner. Betty is wearing bangles and earrings which look well co-ordinated. Betty is wearing lovely red shoes too and her dress really does look wonderful on her.

My Betty Boop came packaged in a cardboard box with a piece of polystyrene that had been specially carved to fit her in snugly. So far I have been keeping these boxes in my cupboard in the hall but they obviously take up quite a bit of space and I am rapidly running out of room!

Overall I am very pleased with the quality of this Betty Boop, like I am my others. I love the design of this and I loved it from the moment that I saw it. I am not the biggest fan of Marilyn Monroe but I just love Betty pulling this pose! She looks fantastic in my collection and I would firmly recommend her to any fans of Betty Boop.
