      Another pretty Betty Boop figurine

I thought it about time that I reviewed another of my Betty Boop figurines although these days my purchases are few and far between due to lack of space. This was a bargain that was simply too good to resist, as I purchased it from ebay on a "buy it now" or "best offer" and was delighted that my rather cheeky offer of £20 was accepted. Her name is Betty Boop Singer and this review discusses my experience of owning this cute little resin figurine.

Betty weighs a kilogram and stands at 30 cm in height with her feet firmly fixed to a glossy black circular base measuring 6 cm in diameter. If you are familiar with my Betty Boop reviews you will be aware that this is a lady with an extremely curvaceous figurine as well as a well toned body and she likes nothing better than to show off her assets. Betty wears a stunning sparkling silver mini dress, which has hints of a dark blue in the background, but rather than use the silver glitter mixed into the paint, the manufacturer has simply thrown it on top, presumably when the blue paint was still wet. Consequently, a problem that I experience with each and every one of my glitter figurines is that the glitter constantly falls off and makes an awful mess. This is a big mistake as far as I am concerned, as the glitter should have been mixed into a clear varnish, which would have enabled it to stay where it is intended. The dress is figure hugging and fits extremely tightly around Betty's rather large bust.

Betty is posed in a sexy position where her bottom sticks up into the air and her legs are slightly bent with her right arm outstretched behind her to display a yellow coloured bangle on her tiny wrist. Her left arm is raised where she tightly holds a small microphone, which has been painted in black with touches of silver to create a realistic appearance. I love the way the manufacturer has created her tiny fingers; two of which are raised with the others grasping the microphone. Perhaps she is about to blast out a song for her X Factor audition and I am of the opinion that she cannot be worse than half of the contestants who have auditioned so far!

She wears a yellow coloured bangle on her wrist to match the one on her other arm. Betty is a lady who adores shoes and on her feet we see her wearing a pair of silver coloured chunky style heels. To complete her outfit Betty wears a pretty pair of circular sparkling silver earrings. Identical to that of all of the other figurines that I own her black glossy curls are illustrated by eight curvy spikes that run along the top of her head with a further eight curves around her hairline. Her facial features are always the same with her huge green eyes looking sideways, long black eyelashes, perfectly groomed eyebrows and ruby red lipstick, which has been perfectly applied to her puckered lips.

Whilst reviewing the figurine I laid it on its' side to check for the authenticity stamp on the underside of the base and as a result I am able to see beneath Betty's mini dress, which isn't a pretty site as she fails to wear any underwear! Consequently, I will not discuss this section of the figurine! The manufacturer, namely The Hearst Holdings Inc nearly always display their trademark logo where we are able to see their name together with a small image of Betty where her head is contained within a heart shape. Cleaning this figurine is rather problematic, particularly due to the tiny fragments of glitter that disperses each time it is touched. As this is a collector's doll as opposed to a toy it is displayed with my other Bettys behind glass doors, which as well as protecting the figurine, helps to cut down on the amount of dust.

I was extremely fortunate to obtain my figurine from ebay at such a bargain price, as she is currently listed on Amazon as brand new for £44.99 inclusive of postage and packing. Would I recommend this figurine? Yes, I would as I adore Betty Boop. However, I am very disappointed with each of the glitter figurines that I own as I do not feel that enough thought has been given to their finish and as a result, it is a figurine that should be handled only when absolutely necessary. As a consequence, I can only give Betty Boop singer 4 stars.

I hope you found my review useful and would thank you for reading.
