An adorable figurine for any Betty Boop fanatic

I feel a little embarrassed in posting this review, particularly as approximately a month ago I made a declaration that I was not intending to purchase any more Betty Boop figurines due to lack of space! Unfortunately, the lack of space situation still stands and my collection of Bettys is far too crowded, as they are all pushed rather close together in my display cabinets. However, there are probably around 8 of these cute little collectables contained within my Amazon wish list although some of them have been there for well over a year and the one I am reviewing today had been showing as unavailable for a good 8 months. Fortunately, or should I say unfortunately, she became available for purchase a few weeks ago and of course, my willpower is very weak where Betty is concerned, so she was added to my basket and subsequently became mine! I particularly like this figurine, as I own quite a few of the motorbike collection, so she was a welcome addition and I'd like to tell you all about her.

The figurine, which is manufactured from resin, measures approximately 31 cm in length, 29 cm in height and 13 cm in width at the widest part. She is extremely heavy and whilst my kitchen scales will not allow me to weigh her I would take a guess that she's approximately 1½ kilograms. The first thing that became noticeable to me when I received the figurine is that both of her feet rest firmly on the ground unlike one of the other bikes that I own, which rocks back and fore, so it has been necessary for me to discretely place a little blue tac under one of her feet. Betty owns rather a large number of motorbikes and whilst I am no expert in the field of bikes I will try my best to explain what I can see.

Firstly, I haven't a clue of the type of bike Betty is riding other than the fact that it has two wheels and handle bars! There are a couple of versions of this figurine; both of which alternate with the colours. However, mine is identical to the image that I provided to Dooyoo as shown above where we see Betty's bike in pale pink and deep plum with chrome handle bars and mud guards. Whilst the majority of the figurine has been made from resin I am of the opinion that the handle bars are made from metal, as they sound a little hollow when I gently tap them. The tyres look very realistic as they have been painted with a black paint although it would have been a lovely finishing touch if the manufactured had also illustrated the tread.

The letter "B" has been painted on the one side of the bike in a pale pink and on the rear of the bike situated above the red light is a small registration plate displaying "B248". Betty sits on the bike in an extremely sexy pose whilst winking at any onlookers and as you can see from the image above her attire isn't particularly suitable for bike riding! She wears the tiniest of mini skirts, which resembles a pair of shorts and on her long slender legs she wears a pair of black fishnet stockings held up with a tiny suspender belt, which has been carefully painted at the top of her thigh. Her love of shoes is clearly evident from all of the figurines that I own, as I am able to witness a very high heeled pair of ruby red stilletoes. I'm sure that she has raised the blood pressure in many males, particularly as on her upper half she wears the smallest of bikini bras, which is coloured bright yellow and enables her bust to appear somewhat enhanced, particularly as she is pushing her chest forwards!

Betty owns a perfectly proportioned figure where she displays curves in all of the correct places and resting on her shoulders is a tiny black jacket, which has been painted to create the illusion of leather. In order to remain the coolest rider on the block she wears a pair of black leather gloves. To complete her biker outfit Betty wears a black peaked cap adorned with a red and golden emblem, which is located just above the peak. We are normally able to witness eight curvy points that represent her black glossy curls, but in this figurine we are only able to see three on each side. Betty is a lady that normally adores her jewellery, but to accompany her biker attire she wears a simple pair of golden hoop earrings. It is very rare to see Betty's facial expressions differ, but in this figurine she has her right eye tightly closed as she winks, which allows us to see her beautiful long black eye lashes. Her left eye is open wide and allows us to see its' beautiful colour of green and as always, her ruby red lips are puckered.

I have yet to carry out the task of cleaning this figurine, particularly as she is fairly new, but there are many hard to reach areas, particularly within the mechanics of her bike, but this will be easily resolved by way of a small clean paintbrush. To ensure the figurine's authenticity the manufacturer, namely The Hearst Holdings Inc has printed their name together with a small image of Betty on the underside of the bike. Betty Boop Winking Figurine is currently available on Amazon for the price of £59.50, which is inclusive of postage and packing. As you may have guessed she receives my full recommendation together with 5 stars.

I hope you found my review useful and would thank you for reading.
