Cup Cake Magic Milk Bottle
Advantages: Amazes little ones, decent price, durable
I always presumed when I had a little girl that she would like dolls and bought her lots of doll items, we soon found that in actual fact our eldest daughter has pretty much no interest in make believe play and is more into arts and crafts. Recently we have got some of the dolls items out and found that our youngest daughter loves dolls and so we bought her a couple of accessories as part of her Easter present although she managed to end up with it a few weeks early.
I bought a milk and a juice bottle from The Early Learning Centre and the milk bottle cost £4 but as they take Capital bonds which I had it actually cost me nothing.
The bottle is made of see through plastic and is pretty tough, it has a lovely pale pink pretend top and teat on it and then a lovely little cupcake symbol on the bottle. You can of course see white liquid inside which is to represent the milk and this disappears when the bottle is turned up as if you were feeding a baby.
The bottle is meant for ages 3 and up but my daughter is 2 and a half and I was happy for her to have the bottle and I don't see any danger in this at all. Emily couldn't wait to feed her dolls when we gave her the bottles and she was amazed when the milk disappeared, we kept saying to her where has the milk gone and she would tip the bottle up to look but then of course the milk came back so she was rather confused. Now she has given up looking for the milk and just announces that it has all gone when she has fed her baby.
I must say even I'm quite amazed at the way the milk disappears, I remember having one was I was a child but if you looked down the middle you could see the milky liquid in the top of the bottle but with this one you can't see a thing. The bottle has been flung about a fair bit yet there are no marks on it apart from the couple of teeth marks on the teat where Emily decided to pretend to feed herself. I would give this 5 stars from 5 and would certainly recommend it even if it is only for the look of bewilderment on your childs face.
