A fantastic collector's piece from Danbury Mint

I've been spending the last few days reviewing some of the figurines within my vast Betty Boop collection and I hope you are enjoying reading them. Today I am reviewing Danbury Mint's porcelain Rumba Betty Boop, which stands at 16 inches high including her black base.

I've made this statement in my previous reviews and I feel it appropriate to use a small proportion of the same text. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Betty Boop, The Hearst Corporation owns her trademark and all genuine figurines will have their stamp on the underside of the product. As this figurine is made exclusively for Danbury Mint you will not find it anywhere else other than the Danbury Mint UK website.

Rumba Betty proudly wears a flowing red and white spotted layered dress with an attached white underskirt. There are tiny, almost transparent plastic clips situated on both lower sides of the dress and these are lifted and clipped to both of Betty's thumbs. Consequently, you will then reveal Betty's sexy red knickers and the white-laced garter decorated with a tiny red heart that she wears on her left leg.

Betty wears a pretty red and white-cropped top with the sleeves designed to match her dress and it is completed with a pretty red bow in the front. She displays a trio of multi-coloured bracelets on each arm, together with a matching necklace and earrings.

As with all Danbury Mint Betty Boop figurines, the attention to detail is simply superb and as they are all hand painted, the finish is simply perfect.

Betty's shiny ankle strap stilettos are in matching red and simply ideal for Betty, as she will soon be dancing the romantic Cuban rumba! She wears a pretty red and white spotted headband adorned with a large white corsage.

Betty's arms can be moved, in order for you to select the most appropriate poise and in my opinion, she is quite exquisite.

She has huge stunning green eyes and long eyelashes and her ruby red lips look extremely sexy and to finish her beauty regime she has been given rosy red cheeks.

As with the majority of the larger Betty Boop figurines from Danbury Mint, the accessories are individually packed for you to carefully place on your figurine. The beaded bracelets are on elastic, so can be easily pushed over Betty's hands, with the necklace having a tiny clasp for you to place around her tiny neck.

Betty can be purchased from the UK Danbury Mint website or you can contact one of the friendly customer services staff.

Rumba Betty will cost you £111 plus £4 postage and handling and if you wish, the cost can be spread over four monthly payments of £27.75 (plus £1 per month for postage and handling). Payment can be made by either cheque, credit or debit card.

To ensure your collectable will reach you in first class condition, Danbury Mint will despatch her to you via courier so you have the reassurance that she won't be damaged in transit.

Whilst this figurine is expensive, she is a collector's piece and will hopefully increase in value in years to come (saying that though, I won't sell mine!). She is simply stunning and a perfect masterpiece. Consequently, she receives 5 out of 5 dooyoo stars from me.

I hope you found my review useful and I would thank you for reading.
