“ Brand: Disney Princess / Type: Doll „
My daughter has just started getting into the Disney Princesses and when we walk around shops she loves looking at the toys in that section. One day in Asda, I spotted these Magic Clip dolls on sale reduced to £2 and so decided to treat my daughter to a couple. My daughter was just 4 when we got these for her. ---About the product: The Disney Princess Magic Clip Mini Doll comes in a range of different designs. The Disney princesses that you can buy are Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Snow White, and Tiana. The dolls are packaged on a cardboard backing and in a plastic see-through shell so you can see what you are getting. Each pack contains a small 'rubbery' princess doll with moveable head, legs and arms about 3 inches high. The doll is wearing one dress and inside the pack is another dress based on the Disney film the character appeared in. The dresses are plastic and work like massive clips. You squeeze the bottom part of the dress together and the neck section opens so that you can slide the dolls inside the dresses. ---Our Thoughts: My daughter loved these as soon as she was given one and started to play with it as soon as it was out of the packet. I showed her briefly how to get the dresses on and off and she was happy sitting playing with it. She mainly preferred to play with the doll with the dress off as the legs and arms moved when the dress is off whereas with the dress on the doll is in a static standing pose. The dolls do have a leotard painted onto them underneath the dress so they are not naked without them. After I got her a couple more, she had great fun playing with them and making up stories with them all interacting. She was able to base the stories around the Disney princess films that she has seen. The dresses will fit on any of the dolls which means she can swap them around depending on how she feels. There are two dresses in each pack which are based on different parts of the films; but always the glamorous dresses. The dresses are easy for my daughter to remove from the dolls but there are a couple she finds harder to put back on because of the longer hair on the dolls. She also has a habit of putting the dresses on back to front which means they don't shut properly. ---And Finally: I have been really pleased with these Mini Clip Dolls and would definitely recommend them to other people with children of a similar age. They are quite sturdy and have taken quite a lot of abuse from my daughter already and are standing up well. She has 4 of them now and enjoys playing with all of them. They help with co-ordination and imaginative play and I have been very satisfied with my purchase. They fit easily in small bags so can be taken out on trips or to meals etc. The price differs a lot in different places but around £4 is average for them. Because you get the doll and two outfits, I think this is a reasonable price for them. If you get lucky and are able to find them on offer like I did then they are definitely worth buying.
