      Disadvantages

      A lovely little set.

The Rosebud Bathroom Set can be found in the Early Learning Centre and Mothercare and is made to go inside the ELC Rosebud Dolls House.

      ** About the set **

The Rosebud Bathroom Set consists of a bath, shower, toilet, sink, mirror, bath mat, towel rack and towel.

The bath is white with pink taps. It is a good size and the ELC Rosebud Dolls are the pefect size to lay down inside the bath.

The shower is pink and white. It has a shelf inside and some transparent plastic on the front (to make it look more realistic). The shower is a good size and the ELC dolls fit inside the shower perfectly - they stand up well as there is a circle shape on the bottom of the shower for their feet to fit into.

The toilet is white and has a pink lid. The lid can be lifted up and down. The ELC dolls fit onto the toilet very well and can be easily sat down on it.

The sink bowl is white and the taps are pink. The surround of the sink is a lighter pink and has a heart shape cut out at the top. There is also a shelf underneath. The sink is around the same height as the ELC dolls hands, which makes 'washing' their hands easy.

The mirror is plastic and surrounded by a blue wooden frame. The only downside of the mirror is that there isn't anything to stick it up with - we are currently just using blutak so that the mirror can be moved around.

The rug is made from blue fabric and is quite basic. The towel is also made of blue fabric (although slightly smaller) and is quite basic, but great for 'drying' the dolls off after a bath or shower. The towel rack is pink and quite small, but big enough to hang the towel over it nicely.

      ** Overall **

The Rosebud Bathroom set is really cute and really girly. It is beautifully made and is very good quality. All of the furniture seems sturdy and durable - we've had the set for around a year and a half now and it's still in great condition. The set is made mainly from wood and isn't flimsy in the slightest. The colours all match (white/pink/baby blue) and although everything is miniture it isn't too fiddly.

I also love the little details such as the taps and the heart carved into the sink. There are no very small parts and the furniture is very smooth (no splinters!). The whole set seems very safe.

The set can be used on either the bottom level or middle level of the Rosebud house and can be moved around accordingly. It's best not to use it in the attic (top level) as the shower is too tall to close to roof down properly. My daughter likes to keep her bathroom set on the second floor (middle shelf) - where our very own bathroom is! The bathroom can be set up in lots of different ways, there isn't a particular way that it should look.

I would say that the Rosebud Bathroom Set is a great addition to the Rosebud Dolls House but would also suit many other large dolls houses. You don't have to use the ELC Rosebud dolls either - my daughter occasionally adds dolls and toys from other sets.

My daughter (who is 3 years old, but got this set when she was 2 years old) has had hours of fun playing with her set - getting her dolls washed in the bath and shower, putting them on the toilet, washing their hands and drying them! It really encourages imaginative play and can even help to build social skills.

It comes in a nicely decorated cardboard box with a full list and photo of contents.

The set costs £15.00 which might sound steep to some but in my opinion looks alot nicer and is a lot better quality than many other cheaper versions. Total value for money.
