WHAT IS IT?

A soft doll for babies aged over 6 months. It is completely soft all over and has a quiet rattle in the tummy.

WHAT I THINK

This is a very good quality soft toy with no hard parts. The doll has got a happy face and is dressed in a pink suit, it is a toy for girls but because it's so soft and made for young babies it doesn't matter if you give it to a boy.  It is the size of a Baby Born doll but looks bigger because it's stuffed and hasn't got the correct proportions for a baby shaped doll.  It's too big and soft to put in the cot with a newborn baby because if they put their face next to it it's large enough to suffocate them.

I like the arms and legs because they are easy for babies to hold, my daughter used to turn the doll upside down and cuddle the legs because she liked using one of the feet to stroke her face.  The doll has big hands and these are good for a baby to hold onto.   The rattle isn't very loud but you can hear it, it sounds like beads inside a ball and is only interesting for babies for a short time.  I wasn't expecting a rattle because it wasn't mentioned in the advertising so it was a nice surprise.

This makes a nice present for someone close who has had a baby as well as something to buy for your own newborn baby. Our doll is six years old and I brought it out of the attic today to wash for my new baby daughter.  You can wash it in the washing machine and it doesn't take long to dry, I've washed this one many times and it hasn't faded or been damaged. It withstands a lot of play and abuse but still looks in very good condition.
