“ Brand: Flair / Type: Doll Playset „
My daughters birthday is in January, which makes buying presents for her a little difficult, usually she has already received all the main gifts for Christmas and I am then found scouring the January sales with very little money for birthday presents for her. Then half way thought the year she has grown too old for these toys and doesn't have much to play with. When she turned two I decided to just buy her a few presents for her Birthday and buy her a "big" present during the summer and this seems to be working out much better. Some relatives have also jumped on-board and we now receive Amazon vouchers instead of gifts to put towards getting her a summer birthday toy.
This year I decided to buy my daughter the Sylvanian Families dolls house "Larchwood Lodge", the house didnt come with any figures or accessories so my daughter and I began looking on Amazon for some furniture and a family too. There were so many different Sylvanian Families to chose from, after some deliberating my daughter chose the Ginger cat family, priced at £11.98 with free delivery ( Amazon.co.uk).
The item came packaged in a cardboard box with a clear plastic front through which the Ginger Cat Family could clearly be seen. General information is given on the back including warnings, an age recommendation of 4+ is given as the product may contain small parts.
There are also a variety of pictures showing other Sylvanian Families which are available.I found the family really easy to remove from the box and was happy to discover that there was no annoying plastic wires to have to deal with.
The Ginger Cat Family consists of Mum, Dad, brother and sister, they all look pretty similar except Mum and Dad are slightly larger and they are all wearing different clothes. They all have ginger soft fuzzy feeling fur, cute little whiskers and are all so cute.
Dad wears a Green and white vertically striped shirt, felt green blazer and brown pants.
Mum wears a beautifully flowery dress with orange apron.
Brother is wearing green and white dungarees with orange buttons.
Lastly, Sister is wearing a pink flowery dress.
All of the clothes are fully removable, which my daughter loves, she finds it really easy to take the clothes off but rather more difficult putting them back on, so she often asks me for help with this. I must admit that I find it a little annoying that Mum has an apron which is attached to her dress and therefore cannot be removed without taking her dress of as well.
The figures are fully posable and my daughter has no problems moving them about or getting them to stand or sit.
My daughter has had the Ginger Cat Family for over two months now, they have been played with on a regular basis and are still in a brilliant condition. I would certainly recommend The Ginger Cat Family to those looking for cute high quality figures to add to a Sylvanian Families collection.
