A gorgeous dolls pushchair so your toddler can be just like Mummy!

My 23 month old granddaughter is a real little Mummy, as well as the usual cuddly baby toys and bears she also has a collection of baby dolls (some not much smaller than her!) which have been passed down from her big sisters. Watching her struggling to push her own pushchair around the garden I immediately went inside to see if I could find her a dolls stroller as I think there is something completely adorable about watching a baby girl pushing a doll and buggy. I ended up on Amazon where they sell several different toy strollers and eventually decided on this Fifi and the Flowertots stroller which was a bargain price of £8 and looked ideal for my granddaughter, I was slightly concerned it would be a little too high for her to push comfortably as the recommended age is 3 years but I reasoned that if she could push dolly around in a proper sized pushchair then even if this was a little towering then it would still be an improvement. I bought it from possibly the best seller on Amazon as the stroller was delivered well within 48 hours of placing the order, I was impressed at how easy and smooth it was to initially open the stroller and my granddaughter was able to use it straight away. I must say it's an absolutely gorgeous looking dolls pushchair, it's has a pastel blue and green background which features small pictures of plants and various gardening equipment so that the overall design is in keeping with the flowery and natural theme of the television programme. The back of the seat where dolly sits features the logo of the programme, which for the benefit of those of you without pre-school children is a picture of the very sweet looking Fifi Forget-Me-Not along with a prettily printed 'FIFI' which looks to have been designed in denim. I needn't have worried that this was going to be too tall as the 55cm height of the handles is ideal for my granddaughter, who is a slightly smaller than average 23 month old. I actually think a three year old would be hunched over the stroller as it is very small indeed and there is no way of making the handles any higher to accommodate an older child. My granddaughter finds the handles comfortable to hold and because they are the sort of handles which look backwards to me she seems better able to grip them than if they were the 'right way' round. She is able to accurately push it along and has even learned how to tip the pushchair back to get it up and down the steps in the garden - just like her mum tipping it up and down the kerbs! The instructions that come with the stroller say that it is suitable for dolls up to 40cm, I am not in the habit of measuring dolls but the Tiny Tears sized dolly my granddaughter was playing with today fits in the stroller perfectly and we managed to strap her in even though the doll's tummy is rather portly! Speaking of the straps, if you have an easily frustrated toddler then just cut the blooming things off and say yourself a lot of heart ache! My granddaughter pudgy little fingers just cannot manipulate the buckle style straps and at one point I thought she was going to pick the stroller up and chuck it at me in temper! This is the only bad point really, although to be completely fair to the stroller this is possibly one of the reasons it is marketed as a toy for three year olds as their hands are obviously more dexterous and agile than a 23 month olds. Overall though I cannot fault this dolly stroller at all. My granddaughter loves it, aided by the fact that she is a developing Fifi fan, but even if your little one doesn't watch the show then they will still love the pretty design and easy to manoeuvre buggy.
