~*~ Lala-Oopsie Mini Brittlestar Sea Horse ~*~
Lala-Oopsie are a spin off from the Lalaloopsy dolls , the range is absolutely massive now, with dolls, sisters, babies, ponies, horses, princesses, mermaids, houses, and more. These are a new range of Sea Horses that were released last year. Like most of the mini dolls the R.R.P is £6.
~*~ Brittlestar ~*~
Brittlestar comes in pink and is wearing a crown, and has the trademark black button eyes. She has a solid one piece body and head and fixed fins ( or are they wings i'm not sure ) Her mane is made from a rubbery plastic spirals, its very tactile, you can pull it and play with it and it springs back into the spirals. She measures 11 cm from crown to tail.
She comes with her own pet octopus and a comb for her mane.
~*~ In Play ~*~
My daughter being a massive Lala fan was very pleased with the sea horse, she is very pretty and there is lots of detail to her in the plastic, but she hasn't had as much play as other Lala toys we have. I think for my daughter she is a bit too basic, being one piece she doesn't sit or stand and unless being held she can only lie down on her side. One of my daughters favourite things is to prop the iPad up in the roof of her dolls house, then she gets out all the little chairs and tables she has from various play sets, then she sits all the dolls on them so they are at the cinema and she plays them Lalaloopsy videos. She loves watching the videos and playing along with the toys at the same time, but sadly Brittlestar seems to get left out and spends most of her time tucked up in bed on the next floor.
The comb does work and goes through the mane, and her pet octopus is very cute, my daughter had probably had more play from that even with it being tiny as she will use the pets from Lala to play with her Littlest Pet Shop toys too.
~*~ Thoughts ~*~
Whilst she is sweet and is the same good quality as other toys from the range for us the play has been limited and I haven't rushed out to buy other sea horses. I think my daughter would of got more use out of her at a younger age, when she was younger and used a pushchair she would of been a great toy for holding and playing with, she would also be good in the car where you don't have a table to play on, but these days my daughter is more interested in dictating the music choice and singing in the car than playing.
~*~ Conclusion ~*~
For us she hasn't been such a hit, she's pretty but has limited play, we would go for one of the normal horses that are able to stand over the sea horse.
