~*~ Lalaloopsy furniture- Sew Yummy Stove ~*~
The Lalaloopsy Sew Yummy Stove is designed to go in the large Lalaloopsy dolls house , so is not your typical size of dolls house furniture , and is much larger than normal.
The R.R.P is around £15 , I was lucky enough to pick it up in the House Of Fraser sale for around £6 , and I notice it is available from thetoyshop.com for £6.50 and Amazon for around £14.
~*~ What You Get ~*~
The set comes attached to cardboard and contains the stove , frying pan, whisk, and sweet pie.
The stove is well made and all plastic , it has a 2 ring hob design and button clock detail with a lift down oven door that clips securely into place and cute button dials and nappy pin handle. As you look at the stove on the left hand side are an oven glove and tea towel painted onto the stove.
The overall dimensions of the stove are 16 cm wide, 18 cm high and 11 cm depth.
With the stove come some accessories , a cute heart shaped frying pan that fits neatly on the stove. A heart shaped whisk that again fits neatly in the pan . Also a lovely yummy looking sweet crust pie which my daughter insists is cherry pie.
All the items are well made and of a good quality the age range for the toy is 4 to 104 , but due to the quality and smooth finish I would of happily given them to my daughter at a younger age.
~*~ In Play ~*~
In the house the stove fits in very well and is a good size ratio the the area decorated to look like the kitchen. In relation to a large Lalaloopsy doll it is the perfect size . The stove is in proportion to the doll so fits very well for when they are pretend playing .
The heart shaped frying pan sits well on the top of the stove, you can have the whisk in the pan and it doesn't fall off . The pie again fits well in the oven and is easy to put in and take out. My daughter can open and close it by herself and closing is nice and secure but not too stiff for small hands.
The stove is a nice little extra for the house but works just as well as a small cooker for any doll really . Although there are the details typical of Lalaloopsy like the buttons and nappy pin and on the back there is a Lalaloopsy sign wrote in the same pink as the stove, there isn't anything that makes it only suitable for Lalaloopsy . My daughter is quite happy using it for her Princesses , and I think it would suit a Tiny Tears , Baby Annabel sized doll too.
~*~ Thoughts ~*~
For the quality ,the R.R.P of £15 is not unreasonable , so if you can find it cheaper like I did you have yourself a bargain. Its a lovely little stove with quality accessories.
It doesn't really do much as in it has no sound effects or anything fancy , but it is a great aid to imaginative play and that's my daughter's favourite kind of play so was a big hit with her.
