~*~ Lalaloopsy Tea Set ~*~
As you are probably aware my daughter is a massive Lalaloopsy fan. Despite the wide range of dolls and toys that are now available in the UK , we don't have the range of accessories and extra they do in America. So when I saw this on Amazon for £5 plus delivery of £2.99 for the Toy Entertainers Amazon store where I was already making an order , I popped 2 in my basket to qualify for free delivery ( £40 spend ) 1 for my daughter and 1 to put away in the present box.
To be honest I didn't really look at what it contained I was just pleased to see something new that my daughter didn't have, and that it would make a good stocking filler.
~*~ What's In The Box ? ~*~
Honestly not alot ! The box contains 3 cups , 3 side plates or saucers , a tea pot and a sugar pot, that's it.
The whole set is made from plastic and is red and pink , its not the cheapest plastic but its not chunky and thick either so very average.
The Lalaloopsy embellishment is simple a sticker on each item and due to the roundness doesn't really look very neat and is creased in places.
The side plates / saucers they work as both, measure 9 cm in diameter and the cups are 6 cms while the tea pot and sugar bowl ,which both have lids measure 9 cm without handles, 12 cm with.
So they suit a child as well as the large Lalaloopsy dolls.
Unfortunately if you fill the teapot with water it does drip from where its not properly sealed at the bottom.
~*~ Thoughts ~*~
Mostly disappointment , why only 3 cups and plates, surely 4 would of made more sense , and the Lalaloopsy-ness is rubbish , no button details and extras in the plastic , just plain plastic with a sicker on. To be honest you could make your own , any plastic tea set for a discount store or poundland type place with a sticker on , as that is all it is.
The extra set I bought ended up being the pass the parcel prize at my daugher's birthday party as it looked too cheap to be used as a gift.
My daughter likes the set , but no more than any other tea set , she does use it for tea parties with her Lalaloopsy dolls , but equally uses her Disney Princess set that has much more to it .
At first I was pleased to find a cheap Lalaloopsy stocking filler , now I wish they had put much more into it , I would rather have paid £10-£15 for a decent set than £5 for this rubbish which is worth £1.99 at the most.
