a great value convertible a must for all barbie fans

really fancy myself driving around in a convertible however the bank account doesn't have the funds for a real one and so I opted for a glitzy pink one for my daughter's Barbie at £20.00 a bit more affordable!

      What is it?
The Barbie convertible is a lovely pink car with shiny metallic wheels and zebra print seats it has the traditional Barbie licence plate and hydrofoil lights, it also has seatbelts and a turning steering wheel.

      Cost and stockist:
The car is available from all good toy shops as well as on Amazon www.amazon.co.uk .
Best of all Barbie's convertible will only cost £24.00 and does not require any fuel!

      Why buy
Personally I loved Barbie when I was younger and to be honest I would have loved one of these cars which is why I got one for my girls and it does add fun to the games you can play although I am sure it says something that she only gets to go to Tesco in her car!

I personally think that Barbie is a great institution and she allows children to use their imagination and play great games and this convertible does allow a lot of realism I recently heard my youngest telling Ken that unless he put his seatbelt on she wasn't driving anywhere and he could walk, followed by if you do not like my driving walk I wonder where she gets that from!

I do recommend this car I think it is a must for all Barbie fans and I think it is good value and has great play potential

A great Barbie accessory with good play value, well made and appealing to many little girls

My daughter was bought the new glam convertible for Christmas, but already has the old version. This new one is a lighter pink colour than the other, which looks quite nice as it has a glittery finish to it. Most of the features are the same, but the styling is slightly different.

The seatbelts are still black cross-body ones, which can be pulled out of their slots to "undo" them, and it is easy to slide any Barbie sized dolls into each of the two seats. The steering wheel spins, but the doors do not open on either the new or old model, which is a shame for playability but probably good for durability. There are stickers on the wheels, lights, numberplate, dashboard etc, which seem to stay put but look a bit cheap. The seat covers on the old model were black and white patterned, while on the new model they are pink and white patterned. To be honest, the old ones were slightly nicer, but I guess it's personal taste.

One improvement is that the wing mirrors on the new version and rubbery and flexible, rather than the old plastic ones - we never had a problem, but I imagine the old ones are easy to break whereas the new ones are more durable.

The car drives quite well across different floor surfaces, but as a playset toy rather than a manouverable, technical vehicle. I have a boy and two girls, and the boy has several car toys which are technically better to play with in terms of driveability and quality. However, this one is perfect for what it is intended - a girly, pretty "glam" car for Barbies to sit and ride in.

The old model has lasted us years and is still going strong, so I can vouch for the durability of Barbie cars with regular play.
