I always stock up on presants for birthdays and christmas when I see a bargin. This pushchair was a bargin frm the sales catalogue at littewoods, and due to saving points with them for buying and paying on time this was free so i couldnt pass up on the sale to get more for my points.
My daughter loves her dolls and pushchairs. Her old pushchair was a pram type which came with a high chair, travel cot and walker it was only cheap and broke the set very quickly due to being heavy handed. As i was looking through the sale book I noticed this one. The first thing I noticed was that it was a deep pink colour, this colour always goes down well with her because it is her favourite colour. When looking at it, it seemed like a pushchair for a real child, this was the main, reason that I bought it due,to my daughter likes,to try and push her baby sister to school and she is too small to push our pushchair. This was priced up at £21 reduced from £35 this was a great reduction and i had got £38 worth of points to spend so I could cover this very easily. This got delivered in 3 days and I had still got 2 months before her birthday. It came in a big bos which was hard to hide but due to no pictures on the box she couldnt see what it was which was good.
The night before her birthday I got it out to set up ready for her. This was already in one piece and needed the wheels clipping on. The wheels were easy to attach which you simply pushed on till you heard a click and then they dont come off even when pulled. It had the silvercross name on the side nd a nic little silver pattern on the hood. The belt was a simple velcro attachment that my daughter found easy to do and it had a plastic foot piece like the real pushchairs. The handles are easy for her to hold and are a circular shape. On the back of the chair is a streachy black net bag for the dolls things or my remote control when my daughter is playing. This is made from strong metal, the reason I know that it is strong is because all the children have sat in it to be pushed around this includes the 7 year old boy. I hace had to explain that they are not to sit in it because it is not made for their weight. We had not bought a doll for this due to she had lots already but sadly the pushchair was that big that all the babies she had got looked lost in it and we had to buy tge sally doll that fitted in perfectly.
This is easy to fold there are two clips by the handles that you pull up and it will fold in the middle. The folding joints in the middle are quite safe because they have got large plates of metal to cover them, mu daughter hurt herself once putting this back up because she pulled it open from that part but if you hold the handles abd pull it up it is safe with no accidents.
This is a very attractive toy pushchair that looks real and is made very much like a real one. It is a big pushchair that requires a big doll and the best friend doll is the only one that I have found big enough. I have found that my daughter is not quite tall enough for this and she is a meter tall, she is able to play and push it but her head is just over the top of the hood, I think that this is made more for 4 years and above. I also think that this should have been made with a rain cover so that my daughter would be able to play with it more walking to school. I like that when it folds down it is flat so it doesnt take up lots of room and is easy to store. Since buying this I have not seen it for the low price I paid for it but it is definatly worrh the money and can see this lasting us quite a few years or even be able to pass on. I think its good value and safe and is perfect for older children. I will definatly buy silvercross products again.
