A very unusual set of Sylvanian Family figures

WHAT IS IT? A set of hedgehog figures from Sylvanian Families. There are two adult figures and two children, you can buy baby hedgehogs separately and I recommend them because this is one of the best families and so good to have the full set. THE DESIGN The hedgehog family is very unusual looking because they have been given long spiky hair that goes all the way down their backs. The hedgehogs are brown and the hair is glossy and soft, the features on their faces are friendly and the clothing looks just right on them. The dad and brother are wearing dungarees and the mum and sister have on pretty floral dresses. You get two brushes and two combs with the figures. WHAT I THINK I like the Bramble family very much because they are a delight with their hair, my husband says they remind him of Tina Turner and I can see the resemblance when I look at the hair. They are a traditional English mammal and a good one to choose as a set of Sylvanian figures. The brushes and combs are very tiny but my daughter uses the brush to tidy the hedgehogs hair. This is necessary because the adults hair is long enough to get a bit tangled but the brush does work to get them out. You can take the clothes off but the dads dungarees don't fit other adult figures very well because they are low cut to make way for the hair. The arms and legs move round and the heads rotate but not as far as other figures because of the long hair. The little girl is very wobbly when my daughter stands her up, that's unusual for Sylvanian Families but my daughter makes sure this figure is sitting down when she is playing because it can fall over sometimes.  The head on the mother figure is also loose, not very much but I noticed it because it happens so rarely with Sylvanian figures. THE BRAMBLE FAMILY Dad --- Mortimer Bramble Mum --- Eleanor Bramble Son --- Maxwell Bramble Daughter --- Abigail Bramble 4 Dooyoo Stars.

A very sweet little set of animalso

As mentioned in previous reviews my daughter has recently discovered Sylvanian Families, and this is one of the sets she received for Christmas. We managed to buy this set of four gorgeous hedgehogs - mother, father, brother and sister- for around £13 on eBay. The set consists of the Brambles Family - Mortimer, Eleanor, Abigail and Maxwell - the Sylvanian tailors! they come beautifully dressed in well made clothes with intricate details. They all come with soft, tactile hedgehog fur, and even come with a special brush to groom them! As with all other sets they also come with some very sweet back story details on the box - describing who each of them is and what they like to do, which. I think is charming! Like all Sylvanian Families characters they are fully posable and have gripping ands. They sit easily in any of the available furniture and really have bags of play potential. In short these are very beautiful, intricate little characters and really are a better quality than some of the cheaper versions out there. My daughter loves brushing their fur and poses them in various scenes and positions - there's a lot of play potential in these little characters!
