A great little accessory to the range

      The Range:

Sylvanian Families are a range a beautiful animals, houses and accessories which live in the wonderful and idyllic land of Sylvania. Manufactured by Flair.

All the families are personalised with a name and have a different role within Sylvania.

      The product:

Is a plastic yellow bus with 7 seats for the babies and a seat for the bus conductor, the babies seats are interchangeable so you can re-arrange if you desire. Although the figures are not included, there are lots of accessories included.
At the back of the bus, you can pull out and this converts into a trampoline, there is a picnic table, picnic accessories, a large storage basket on the roof. There is also a bus conductors hat so if you have any of the large figures, they can pretend to be the driver.

      Price:

The RRP of this set is £19.99, Amazon & John Lewis always seem to have this on offer, I managed to pick one up from John Lewis for £10. On EBay, they still go for around £20 + p&p.

      Age range:

All the Sylvanian products is 4 years plus. This is mainly due to the small parts included and the possible choking hazard.

      My Opinion:

My daughter has just started collecting the range, this one one of the first accessories we purchased for her.

This is a an excellent, my daughter has had for nearly 2 years now and everytime she gets a new set of animals, this is the first thing she likes to get out to take them on holiday.

The Sylvanian range is well made, the attention to detail is great, everything is made realistic.

The range of products available is extremely large, almost every animal you can imagine, swings, cars, caravans, furniture, houses, ice-cream vans, schools, the list is endless.

A lovely little bus but not so good on rainy days

My daughter's been collecting Sylvanian Families things for quite a while now, from quaint little cottages for the cute little Sylvanian characters to live in up to a grand hotel for them to holiday in.
But for those people who have never heard of Sylvanian Families then I will tell you that they are lovely little animals characters, such as cats, dogs, penguins and others, which live in a lovely 'imaginary' village which has many building of all different shapes and sizes. The characters travel around the village using a range of vehicles, such as cars, bikes and even a canla boat, plus, what I am going to tell you about here, and the item that my daughter was given as a present quite recently, is the Sylvanian Families Nursery School bus.

What does it look like then..?

It's a little yellow bus made of plastic, having a front, back, a single side with a few windows and a half side which has a doorway taken out so that the little characters can get on and off.
There's no actual roof to speak of, although there is a little piece of a roof which is above the drivers seat, and on this roof part there is a lovely little basket which can take a few little items.
The front of the bus has a massive window for the driver to see where he's going, with the passenger seats directly behind the driver, with some of these seats movable so that you can place them in in more than one position.
There's a couple of little steps which need to be climbed to get to the seating area so wheelchairs will have some difficulties getting on board.

The bus itself can hold up to 7 smaller characters and a bus driver quite comfortably, but you don't get any characters with it so you do have to add your own, although you do get a drivers hat which can be worn by anyone that drives the bus, apart from the little people that is.
As for the actual build of it, well, it is built quite sturdy even though it is only plastic, but it has stood up to some drops and bangs against furniture, especially when my younger daughter has grabbed it and decided to roll it across the floor, aiming for the dogs legs, only for the dog to jump out of the way, and the nearest piece of furniture taking the brunt of the force, stopping the bus in it's tracks. (I really have to stop her tormenting the dog).

      Are there any little extra..?

The bus comes with a few items that any little Sylvanian youngster should have with them on a day trip to the seaside, such as a bucket and spade, and a little rake as well, plus a ball for those sporty ones. There's also some really miniature items such as food stuff and even a water bottle, plus other items as well which all go to make this school bus what it is.
In the back of the bus, or more hidden under the seat in the back, is a little trampoline and the seats come out of the bus to double up as picnic benches.

It is well built, being made of a sturdy plastic, and it is very mobile as the wheels on the bus really do go round and round, with the yellow plastic bodywork being able to stand up to some knocks against furniture.

In all, this is a rather splendid little bus, even if it doesn't look lie a real bus. It has plenty of room for the little people of the village so that they can get out and about, either to school, from school or even a day trip to the beach. And, with the additional extras that come with the bus, a day at the beach can be real fun and laughter.

As for the price, well this one sells for about £20.00 which is really cracking value for money indeed, considering that it has a Sylvanian stamp on it. So if you want to add it to your collection, or just want to buy it as a present ready for your little one for next Christmas, then this is certainly worth looking at as it is indeed great value for money.
