A good value and fun set

This measures around 33cm tall and 31cm wide but the width factors in the green base, the actual windmill measures around 16cm wide so overall. The windmill is cream in colour and topped with a pink tile effect roof, on one side it has cream sales on and hanging from the other is a little hot air balloon which acts as a lift, taking the babies from the ground to the first floor. Snakes around one side of the windmill is a pale blue slide which I think adds a nice touch and finishes the item off perfectly.

Included is a brown table with two little chairs which are suitable for baby Sylvanians, an oven and a sink unit, both of which have doors on which open so you can put some of the little pieces of crockery, cutlery and food which comes with the set. Upstairs, there is a double bed, piano with a stool, a bedside table and finally, hanging from the ceiling, a mobile which has hanging lollipops and animals. When the balloon slide at the side of the windmill moves up and down, the handle also operates the mobile which turns around which I think adds a nice touch to the set.

As this was one of the first sets I ever purchased for Lauren, she was still in Nursery at the time and even though this is not a nursery, because it is aimed at the baby Sylvanians, she loved to relive situations she had experienced at her school Nursery. It was great to listen to her tell me about hanging their coats up on their pegs when they first get to school, drinking their milk before the mummy’s and daddy’s come to collect them at the end of the day. Normally, Lauren is really secretive about her time at school, but I find the Sylvanian range makes her open up about what she gets up to, without even knowing she is doing it.

This really does get laurens imagination running wild, she will happily sit for hours playing with it, chatting away to herself and pretending to be each little animal she is playing with. Although I love to play Sylvanians with her, quite often I like to just sit back and watch her play, smiling to myself with some of the things she comes out with.

I really like the windmill, especially at the price I paid and the fact that it came with furniture, which alone would retail around £15 makes this an excellent purchase. I would definitely recommend and it gets 5 out of 5 stars from me.
