WHAT ARE THEY?

A family of cream cat figures from Sylvanian Families. In the set there is a mum, dad, brother and sister. They are all dressed in old fashioned clothes and run the Sylvanian Families dance school.

WHAT I THINK

These are part of my daughters collection of Sylvanian Families figures and are her current favorite family. The figures are well made with firm joints that rotate freely in their sockets, the clothes are removable so will fit other cat families but this means they can easily get mixed up.  I sometimes have to check the families on the website to make sure they all have their correct clothes on and it's satisfying to have them all dressed properly again.

The cream cats do get dirty and are hard to keep clean, the fur suffers if you get it too wet so you need to target small marks as soon as they happen with a damp cloth.  I have sometimes suggested my daughter play with another family if I don't have time to watch out for heavy playing and the Golightly family of Silk Cats never leave the house because I worry they would get too dirty on a car journey in my daughters bag.

We haven't bought a Dance School building but the Silk Cat family are used in other buildings, usually in the old school house with other cat families.  I would have liked a baby from this family because I think the baby cats are always nice to have in their romper suits and cribs, my daughter does use a white cat baby from a different family but  you can see the furs are different slightly.
