We bought one of these dolls houses from Toys R Us last November (2007) as a Christmas gift for our three year old daughter. We bought the dolls house from Toy R Us as it was bigger than any others we had seen and it was advertised as being half price at £49.99 down from £99.99. I bought this Dolls House for my Daughter last christmas, as she had been asking constanty for one and in my opinion, every little girl should have one - no matter how big or small the child or the dolls house. I had been searching for one for around a month before I found this. I was delighted with it as every dolls house that I had seen came with limited or no furnature. Researching furnature separatly I found that I might aswell buy a much more expensive house just to get a decent amount of furnature as I found it rather dear to buy separatley. My daughter had this as a Christmas present in 2008 and I am please to say its still going strong and still loved just as much. Apparently to RRP is £100 from Toys R Us but we purchased it from there for £49.99 - I have seen it full price but they regularly drop it to half price around Christmas. This was my eldest daughter's main Christmas present this year. It was half price in Toys R Us so we paid £49.99 for it including 100 pieces of furniture, people etc. I'm not sure if it stands at this offer price all year round, or if it was just mainly for the Christmas market, but it has been marked down for quite some time now. I bought this dolls house for my little girl last Christmas. It was reduced from £100 to 49.99 in Toys R Us. I am pretty sure the £50 is the correct price for the item though as this house seems to always be half price. The house came flat packed and was very simple to put together. A few basic screws into pre cut holes. When constructed it stands about 80cm high and is about 50cm wide. The house is made of soft balsa wood so it isn't the sturdiest of items but when put together it is steady enough for a child to play with although it can be easily knocked over.
