Traditional Wooden Dolls House with 100 Pieces

We bought one of these dolls houses from Toys R Us last November (2007) as a Christmas gift for our three year old daughter. We bought the dolls house from Toy R Us as it was bigger than any others we had seen and it was advertised as being half price at £49.99 down from £99.99. It is still half price a year later (Nov 2008) so I assume that £49.99 is the correct price rather than the sale price. I bought this dolls house for my little girl last Christmas. It was reduced from £100 to 49.99 in Toys R Us. I am pretty sure the £50 is the correct price for the item though as this house seems to always be half price. The house came flat packed and was very simple to put together. A few basic screws into pre cut holes. When constructed it stands about 80cm high and is about 50cm wide. The house is made of soft balsa wood so it isn't the sturdiest of items but when put together it is steady enough for a child to play with although it can be easily knocked over. As with many of the other reviews I have read about this wooden dolls house, I also purchased this model for my daughter last Christmas, however we weren't so luck as others have been to pick one up half price from toys r us, I paid around £70 for this item including the furniture from EBay. This was purchased last Christmas for my daughter as she had been asking for a dolls house and we thought this looked good value for money. It was not what we expected. The rooms are very small and as a result the only furniture that fits into the dolls house is what is provided with the house. My daughter was really disappointed with this as she had been given some money to go and buy some additions to the house, even dolls that can be purchased do not fit in this house.
