Equipped with a Flash ROM to enable easy upgrade of alternative features and character sets, these printers include a broad range of industry standard emulations, fonts and some 13 barcodes. A comprehensive range of interfaces is available, enabling connection to almost any hardware platform. Parallel and Serial RS232 interfaces are fitted as standard with options for Serial RS422, Current Loop and IBM Coax and Twinax. For LAN connection Tally offers the cost effective TallyCom print server, which connects via the parallel port. Using Tally's unique design, these printers are capable of handling a wide range of media in both cut sheet and continuous form, and offer flexible paper handling via a plethora of standard and optional tractors and sheet feed devices. With both front and rear paper paths these models can cope with the most diverse range of business critical applications reliably and effectively. Automatic paper path selection, paper parking and top of form sensing are just a few of the advanced features available which make these printers easy to use. The automatic gap adjustment (AGA) feature ensures that the head gap is always se at exactly the right distance from the paper, providing perfect print quality every time whatever the thickness of the paper.
