Dr. Hauschka Lemon Bath
by wazza115
I am not a huge fan of having a bath, I am more of a shower person so last year when my mum brought me Dr Hauschka Lemon Bath it took me ages before I finally tried it out.
To use, you add 1-2 teaspoons to you hot bath and make sure the windows and door is closed so as not to let the fragrance escape. The fragrance is really ... strong, I love sweet smells and this definitely does it for me, as soon as you open the bottle, the smell of lovely, juicy lemons hits you. The lemon fragrance is meant to refresh your mind and body. When I do occasionally have a bath, I like it to be relaxing and make me nice and sleepy ready for bed but I found that this did the opposite, it seemed to actually make me refreshed and awake!
The product is a deep yellow colour and it comes in a nice glass bottle, looking quite elegant on the side, when people come round quite often the ask what it is and like to have a good 'sniff'.
Apparently lemons are really good for dull and oily skin, I tend to have dry skin, particularly on my legs, and this did act as a really good moisturiser.
The cost of the bottle is £17.95 for a 150ml bottle, I find this to be a little expensive but I suppose because you are only using up to 10ml every time you bath, you will get at least 15 baths out of a bottle.
Overall, it is a nice bath oil, smells really nice but I wont be re-buying I'm afraid but I would give 3 out of 5 stars due to the gorgeous smell.

Dr. Hauschka Facial Steam Bath
by wazza115
After trying just a couple of Dr Hauschka products and being very impressed, I am now on a mission to treat myself as much as I can. As I have got older, my skin seems to be in a worse condition to what it was when I was a teenager, even more so since the birth of my daughter 4 years ago, my pores are big, I am prone to breakouts of ... spots and I have blackheads (attractive I know!). A couple of months ago I brought this from John Lewis upon the advice of sales person at the counter.
The product is designed to help stimulate blood circulation and also encourages the skin's detoxification processes. Moisture and warmth open the pores and loosen blackheads prior to application of the Dr Hauschka Clay Mask, although Dr Hauschka recommend you use their Clay Mask, I haven't yet found an excuse to buy and have found it works well with Montagne Jeunesse mask (although I am going shopping this tomorrow so who knows!)
To use, simply add upto 2 tablespoons of the product into a bowl of hot water (although it doesn't tell you to, I always then give the water a little stir), then hang you head over the bowl with a towel over. You need to steam your face for about 5 minutes to start off with, gradually increasing it to 10 minutes; it is recommended that if you have sensitive skin, just to stick with the 5 minutes. When you have finished, you then apply a face mask as normal.
The product can also be used with a facial steamer, you just add less of the product but I don't have one so cannot comment on this.
The fragrance of the product isn't really to my taste, it smells quite heavily of herbs, it isn't unpleasant though so I wouldn't let this put you off as it certainly hasn't me.
What I like about this brand is that they use completely natural ingredients and do not test on any animals. Also, they boast that where possible, they try and obtain most of their ingredients from certified biodynamic and organic sources.
The price costs £25.95 for a 100ml bottle; this may seem a little expensive however you only use 2 tablespoons of the product each time so it will last for quite a while. The product comes in a nice glass bottle with a gold pump dispenser lid, I think it looks quite expensive and elegant in my bathroom.
When I first used, my spots seem to get worse but the sales advisor did warn me of this and said it was a sign that all the impurities are coming out. After using, my face does feel quite soft to touch and overall in a better condition. I now use it once a week and the breakouts are less and better than before I started using the product.
The only downside for me is it a little uncomfortable to sit in the same position for 10minutes!
Overall, I would recommend, although I still have my blackheads, they are certainly less noticeable and my pores are not as big as they used to be - 5 out of 5 stars from me.
Thanks for reading.

Dr. Hauschka Translucent Bronze Concentrate
by wazza115
I love having a sun kissed looked but one are which tends to tan last is my face - I think this is because I normally wear tinted moisturiser which has a sun block in so I like to apply bronzer. Having now become a big fan of the brand, I was tempted in John Lewis to buy Dr Hauschka Translucent Bronze Concentrate.
To use, you ... need to remember to give the bottle a good shake before you use as it does seem to settle at the bottom of the bottle. You then add a couple of drops of the Translucent Bronzer to your day cream and apply to you face. At first, I was quite worries as the liquid is quite dark but it blends in really easily. I have medium skin and I find that two drops in with my moisturiser in a morning is plenty to give me that sun kissed look.
Dr Hauschka also say that the product is good for hiding blemishes and giving an even skin tone which I completely agree with, since the birth of my daughter, my skin has been worse than it ever has and I tend to get outbreaks of spots on my chin, these are definitely less noticeable when I use this.
The cost of the item is £26.95 for a 30ml bottle which may seem a little expensive but I have been using for a couple of months now and there is still over 75% of the bottle left.
What I like about this brand is that they use completely natural ingredients and do not test on any animals. Also, they boast that where possible, they try and obtain most of their ingredients from certified biodynamic and organic sources.
The product comes is a glass bottle with a pump dispenser, it has quite a luxurious look and feel to it.
This is one of Dr Hauschka Hero Products which are said to be highly-revered, award-winning products that produce brilliant, beautiful skin.
What I really love about this product is you can be as dark or as light as you want, with the warm weather we are having at the minute, I finally have a little colour so I can add a bit more of the concentrate to my moisturiser for that extra sun kissed look.
The instructions also say that you can use the product on you body, either neat or with a body cream, I haven't yet tried this but considering how pleased I am with the effect on my face, I think I am going to try it soon.
I would recommend this product, although I still like to use my bronzer for that shimmer effect, I will definitely be re-buying - 5 out of 5 stars from me.
