Dr. Hauschka Moisturizing Mask
by doriee Although I am a fan of Dr. Hauschka because of the steep price I don't buy the items they have to offer, but for Christmas my grandparents bought me a load of the Dr. Hauschka products and made their own gift set up for me. The Dr. Hauschka Moisturizing Mask 30 ml size was included in this but they also popped in a few of the trial sized ... versions of this as well. I've never known how much this costs until now and the price is really shocking for such a small tube it's £36.95. I would never go out and buy this, in the long run the products may work but if you take care of yourself anyway you shouldn't have any need to buy these products at such an extortionate price, I can't even justify the price by saying you get a lot because you don't, the tube is very small! However as far as I'm aware Dr. Hauschka only use natural and fair trade ingredients which is probably why it's so expensive. The look of this is very clean, the packaging is simple and reminds me of freshness which is something I like. I never read any instructions because I can't be bothered but this is "richly nourishing for extremely dry, sensitive, sun damaged skin." I don't suffer from any of these things but I suppose it's always nice to give your skin that extra boost of moisture. This contains Almond, Avocado and Jojoba oils which all help to moisturise your skin. The almond oil is over powering in this short list of ingredients because that's what this smells like and it isn't the best smell in the world and isn't really something I want my face to smell like but it wasn't unpleasant. we're told to use this once of twice a week, I'm going to suggest that you use this as little as possible because of the price and the small size of the tube. Squeezing Some of this into my palm it's clean and gloopy but I tried to put this on my face sparingly in hope that it would last me but I know what I'm like and I always over do things but that's because I don't buy extortionate products. Leaving this roughly 10-15 minutes or until it's all dry then proceed to rinse off with warm water,I found this quite stiff to get off and it took me several minutes until my face was clear of this mask but when I used it a second time the cream was easy to remove, not sure why it changed. The results were good but I have to say my face was already smooth and soft and the only flaw on my face is that I look tired so I cannot really tell what the effects of this was, although I wore this before I got in bed and my skin was still really silky soft the next day and it was a nice base for me to apply my make up and my make up did look a lot better, but for someone who doesn't need to use this at all I would suggest not wasting your money on it unless you desperately need too. This mask hydrates your skin a lot yes, but is it worth the price? I cannot really say because I don't have any of the things it promises to repair such as sun damaged skin and sensitive skin so I feel that I cannot comment of the effects in the long run because this mask didn't make much of a difference to my face so for me this would be something I will never purchase which is the reason for such a low rating for a good product. Dr. Hauschka Soothing Mask
by graceyyxx Over the past few years I have tried a really wide range of products on my skin of all different price ranges. Until last year Clarins really suited my skin and I used a lot of their products but my skin started looking dull and I noticed I was getting a lot more spots than the few I usually get so I decided it was time for a change. My ... local salon gave me lots of samples of different brands but nothing really suited and my Mum suggested I tried one of the brands she liked, Dr Hauschka . I decided to try trial size versions of the products first as they aren't cheap and picked quite a few different ones up. I decided to buy from drhauschka.co.uk as the prices were as good as anywhere and they offer a skin care consultation online. For this you cleanse your skin and wait between 15 to 30 minutes then answer a simple set of questions about how your skin feels. After this a set of products are suggested that suit your skin and you're given a code for 15% off which is worth having as the products are pricey. One of the products which was suggested for me was the Dr Hauschka Soothing Mask, for 30ml it currently costs £32.95; the trial size is £5.95. The mask comes in a tube and is very simply packaged which is a little disappointing considering the high cost of the item. From the packaging the mask looks like something you'd buy from a pharmacist, with its mainly white exterior with an orange stripe. The packaging also bears the Dr Hauschka logo and the product name in both French and English. My main gripe with the packaging is that, because the tube isn't clear you can't see how much is left. When I'd 'finished' my tube I was disappointed that I only used it four times as, although it was a trial I still paid nearly £6 for it. I sliced the tube open with a pair of scissors to find lots of the mask still in the tube, enough for another two applications. Although this is easy to do it is quite messy and I can't help thinking that for the price paid they should be packaging this better so customers get their money's worth. On opening the tube I was pleased with the smell of the mask, it contains cocoa butter and this smell is noticeable and there's also a hint of coconut to the mask as well. The texture of the mask is good, it's not too thick or too thin and it applies well with a small amount going a long way. Dr Hauschka Soothing Mask is intended to be used once or twice a week after cleansing and it's advised that the mask should be left on for 10 to 20 minutes and then removed with a warm, damp cloth. After following the instructions and removing the mask my skin did look better, a lot more balanced and just generally a better complexion. After using the mask twice a week for a couple of weeks there was a noticeable difference however I wouldn't say it was a major difference. I also felt my skin was quite tight after using the mask and needed a really good moisturising to get it back to normal. Overall, Dr Hauschka Soothing Mask has both its good and bad points but I have to say that with the price being so high I have been left a little bit disappointed. The packaging needs rethinking as about a quarter of the mask can't be squeezed out of the tube and it's just a bit basic. The product is quite good and does soothe the skin, its left looking calm a good all over colour. However as I said my skin did feel a little tight afterwards so this isn't something I'll be buying again. Read the complete review |

Dr. Hauschka Rejuvenating Mask
by weecaz171 This mask works like a dream! I am a lover of facemasks and have used hundreds throughout the years trying to find one that really works with my skin! I finally have found the one- I need look no further! The tube it comes in is quite small metal tube like many of Dr. Hauschka's products and this initially is quite ... off-putting due to the price, however don't be fooled- a little goes a long way and you'll love the results from this mask! It can be used in two different ways: Option 1: you can let it sit for 15 minutes as a cleansing facemask. Option 2: you can make it a 1 week intensive treatment as a thin layer under your day cream. The results from this product are absolutely fantastic! I'm usually a doubtful person when it comes to products that promise the world, but this product does exactly what it says it does. It is amazing at healing scars, redness and spots. Dr. Hauschka - Rejuvenating Mask makes your skin really healthy and glowing (especially when you use it as a 1 week treatment). The face mask is non-greasy and works very well with oily skin. If you burst a spot, the mask will make the scar disappear in a fraction of the usual healing time. The only downside to this product is that it is expensive- it is definitely a luxury product however it's well worth the money for glowing healthy skin! It's too fabulous not to purchase, no matter its price. Read the complete review |
