I recently was given this as part of a gift set by a friend - although I was aware of Dr Hanushka in that I'd heard of them I wasn't familiar with any of their products so it was nice to get trying something different. I do have skin sensitivity issues and am fussy about what I use, however so is my friend and she assured me she could use this without any issues. Plus it's not tested on animals which is a big deal-breaker for me so I was happy to go ahead and use it. As it's called cleansing cream I was expecting a lotion type product but this has tiny tiny ex-foliating 'beads' in it. You can barely feel them when you're massaging it into your skin but it left my skin feeling so soft, so clean and looking amazing. Having sensitive skin, ex-foliators can cause issues for me, especially if using them too often. They can be pretty harsh and end up doing more harm than good. This cleansing cream is the complete opposite - despite using daily I had no issues, no sensitivity, nothing. It just cleansed my skin and left it bright without the dryness or soreness I can sometimes get. I will definitely be buying this again when it's finished, I've never in my life used a better cleanser and I have bought a LOT of cleansers!
I first got this cleansing cream as part of the Dr. Hauschka Daily Face Care Kit so that means it came as an miniature/ trial size that was enough for 5 days. Out of the whole kit this cleansing cream really impressed me the most The products itself it's highly interesting. It has small exfoliating beads suspended in a cream texture. The beads are soft and gentle and don't scratch my skin at all. I have fallowed the Dr Hauschka method of using it by first mixing it with a bit of water in the palm of my hands and then massaged it with a press and rolling motion. I have to say this took some time getting use to as I never used this technique before with a cleanser, but once I got the hang of it I realised it really works the best. I usually get dry flaky skin that I have to exfoliate in order to maintain a smooth complexion and so therefore a good canvas for applying makeup. I noticed that this cleansing cream has stopped my skin getting flaky by half at least, it definitely keeps my complexion clear. I am quite impressed with the tube it come in, it's like an old fashioned toothpaste packaging long before they used plastics. This product costs £14.95 for 50ml and I am going to treat myself with the full size once I get the chance. If it wasn't for the sample size I would of never discovered such an lovely product.
Before I purchased this product, I seriously considered it as the Dr Hauschka range is anything but cheap. After reading several reviews and people recommending it to me, I decided to treat myself considering it's five times the cost and a quarter of the size of the cleanser I was previously using, I had high hopes! I paid around £15 for 50ml of this cleanser from feelunique but I think if you shop around it's more or less the same price. For your money, you get a simple but elegant white tube with orange colouring which contains the cleanser. One thing I look for when buying any facial product is whether my skin will react to it, lookily this can be recommended for all skin types including sensitive and reactive skin like mine. When applying the cleansing cream, it comes out the tube in like an off white/pale brown, it's not the most attractive of things to be putting all over the face but I can forgive its appearance and off putting smell for just how good it is. Dr Hauschka state this is a creamy cleanser, however I found it slightly grainy and it opened my pores getting the dirt and make up off my face. I apply the cleanser straight to my dry face with my make up still on and massage it into my face and after a minute, I get a hand hot flannel and wipe it across my face to open up all my pores. I then follow this by splashing my face with cold water to close up my pores and tighten my face. The cleanser washes off really well and I don't find traces left on my face. I am fairly impressed with the results from using this, my skin appears brighter and less congested. I find the cleanser quite moisturising and don't feel like my face is tight after using it, I've had compliments on how my skin now appears radiant. If I was able to afford this product then I would definitely buy it again, a little goes a long way and it really suits my skin.
The Dr Hauschka range of cosmetics are not cheap, online I paid £13.99 for this cleansing cream as it was recommended by a couple of people that I have worked with. It comes in a 50ml tube which has a simple design to it, a slim white container with a splash or orange colouring near the top. One of the benefits of this cream is that it is suitable for all skin types and that includes sensitive skin. Certainly I find this to be an effective cleanser but also one that is kind to my skin, it contains small amounts of exfoliant like material however it is not designed as an exfoliant (if that makes sense) instead these are meant to stimulate the pores and allow for better skin tone and suppleness. The cleansing cream itself is a pale brown colour and does not look or smell very appealing, it sort of smelt like a cardboard box which is not very nice but that can be forgiven because of how good this is with my skin. It is best applied with wet hands as it ensures you get a better area of coveridge from a small amount and it sort of absorbs the water and becomes a bit thicker, I then apply it evenly across my face and then gently massage the cream into my skin, after a minute or so I rinse off with warm water, after it is all removed I soak my face in cold water to close up the pores that have been opened and cleansed by the massaging of my skin and the cleansing qualities of the cream. I have been very impressed with the results that I get with this product. It certainly helps to maintain the condition of my skin and it certainly has excellent cleansing and also some moisturing qualities. It helps to hydrate my skin and leaves it both ,looking and feeling nice and healthy. Despite the high price tag it is still a product I would recommend as you only need to use a little bit at a time to get great results so it is worth the extra in my opinion.
WHAT IS IT? A cream cleanser from Dr. Hauschka. HOW DO YOU USE IT? This is slightly different to other cream cleansers as you have to combine it with cold water to create a thick paste then apply to damp skin. You are advised to use a pat and roll technique but I prefer to make the paste slightly runnier than suggested so I can press it to my skin and use circular motions to cleanse. IS IT ANY GOOD? I am unsure how to answer this as the cleanser is quite good but it isn't pleasant to use and also leaves a residue on my skin. The pat and roll technique is awkward to master and even diluting the paste further still leaves this a product you have to use carefully. The smell isn't nice, it's a mix of floral, herbal and clay but none of these fragrances mix well with the others and it turns out sickly. The paste feels clammy and bitty on my skin, it has tiny granules of ground nuts in it but this doesn't make it an exfoliator just gives it a gritty texture. When I rinse my face I can never get rid of all these bits on the first rinse and have to spend longer on this step than I like. Because of this I have to use a heavy moisturiser after cleansing to combat the amount of extra water I have to use. After cleansing and rinsing my skin feels clean and smooth, it always looks a bit red for a few minutes and not exactly sore but somehow irritated. Ten minutes later I'm able to apply my make up but I also have to apply moisturiser because of the drying effects of the cleanser. 2 Dooyoo Stars.
This is a soft cleansing cream that you can use in the morning and evening. The base of this cream is almond cream and it ensures the preservation of the natural hydro-lipid skin protection. It gives you a soft and taken care for complexion. This cream contains extracts of calendula, chamomile, St. John's wort and vetch. It makes the skin gently revitalize and clean. This cream is suitable for all skin types and dermatology tested. Before use you clean the face with warm water thoroughly moistened, mix the facial cleansing cream in your hand with water to a light foaming mass and spread it over your hands. Apply from the middle of the face outwards. Don't apply it around your eyes. Then you wet your hands again and press the cream with gentle movements. Then rinse your skin with warm water and finish your cleaning with cold water. The color of the cream is light; it is an oily substance that is easy to apply. The smell I find hard to describe, but I think I smell something of chamomile and almond. The cream comes in a simple white roll-up metal tube with an orange border. On the tube you will find the brand and product name. The tube has a capacity of 50 ml. The tube is again packed in a cardboard box that looks just like the tube. Only found here on the side of product information and ingredients of the product. Also there is a very clearly written leaflet with. I am very pleased with this cleansing cream, since I have quite a sensitive skin, I have not been troubled by redness of the skin after use. Since you only need a little bit, you can last for quite some time with this tube and I would say a few months. This is definitely a must. You can buy the 50 ml for around 15 pounds and there is a trial product available for 3,50 pounds.
For Christmas I received a small box full of Dr Hauschka goodies from a friend who works in a beauty salon. One of my favourite products is a tube of cleansing cream. Now I know cleansing cream doesn't sound that exciting, but this cleansing cream is very different to the ones you usually find on the high street! The first thing to say is that Dr Hauschka is a very expensive brand. A 50 ml tube of cleansing cream costs around £15! However in my opinion it is well worth the outlay! When you look at the plain white tube you could be forgiven for thinking this cream is nothing special. This is an award winning product and one of Dr Hauschka's core items in their skin care range. I would say that if you can only afford one Dr Hauschka product then it should be this one! Dr Hauschka do not believe in exfoliating and although this cream contains small grains of nut it is definitely not an exfoliater. The idea is that using this cream will deeper cleanse your skin, encouraging any dead skin cells to slough off more effectively. The cream will help to maintain the PH balance of your skin ensuring the natural acidic barrier that protects your skin is not damaged. Dr Hauschka say that using this cream will lock in moisture leaving skin feeling comfortable and hydrated. The cream is suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin. When I first squeezed the recommended pea sized amount into my hands I was a bit surprised by the brownish colour and odd smell. The smell is not unpleasant and reminded me a bit of wheetabix! It is important that your face is clean and free of any make up before you apply this cream. To use you will need to squeeze a small amount into damp hands and then rub your hands together adding a little water to form a paste. The cream doesn't lather of foam like other cleansers. Once a paste has been produced, press and roll the paste onto your face, using very gentle movements for about 2 minutes. Rinse off the cream using lots of warm water. It is recommended you use a muslin cloth soaked in cool water to act as a compress. This helps to close pores. The cloth should be washed in hot water after use to kill any bacterial. I know this is a bit of a mission, but it really does work and is worth the effort! I bought muslin cloths from my local Boots and cut them into smaller pieces. I have been using this cleansing cream twice a day since Christmas and can honestly say I am delighted with the results! My skin had been quite dry as it often is during the cold winter months. However within a few days of using this cream its condition had really improved. My skin now feels hydrated and has a lovely glow to it! I have sensitive skin and this cream hasn't caused any irritation, in fact it has calmed down a red area between my eyes. When this tube is finished I will definitely buy this product again ,despite that high price tag!
I have used Dr Hauschka products ever since my introduction to them by Dooyoo members in their reviews. Overall my opinion is that they are generally decent quality, but they are also quite expensive. The Dr Hauschka Cleansing Cream is no exception, costing around the £15 mark for a 50ml tube. The question is, does the quality match up to the pricetag? This Cleansing Cream comes in familiar Dr Hauschka packaging. In terms of style and presentation there is nothing new to describe, other than highlighting the fact the tube is mainly white, with a band of peach colour towards the cap. Bare details are given on the front of the tube, with just a sinple product name, description and Dr Hauschka branding. The rear of the tube gives more in-depth information regarding the Cleansing Cream. I use this Cleansing Cream both in the morning and evening, as instructed. I apply the cream to damp skin, working the product gently into my skin using small circular motions. To finish I simply rince the cleansing cream from my face and pat dry. Obviously application is very simple and straightforward. Although this isn't a 'scrub' or 'exfoliant' there are grains of nut in the cream, this is to simply promote natural shedding of dead skin cells, this leaves me feeling refreshed and cleansed, also my skin looks more radiant after use. I make sure I use plenty of water both before and during the application, as keeping skin hydrated is important. This Cleansing Cream ensures my skin maintains a good pH balance and offers deep cleansing whilst ensuring not to remove the natural glow of my skin. The 50ml tube may appear to be on the small size, but the Cleansing Cream really does go a long way. I don't go mad with it during application, as I work it all over my face. The scent of the cream is that of herbs, but this isn't a strong or unpleasant smell, though it isn't a neutral one either. If you have sensitive skin then I would advise against too frequent use of this Cleansing Cream, though I do love to treat my skin now and then, and the results are very natural and subtle, though they do give a lasting improvement to my skin. Overall the price isn't all that bad considering you will get a good amount of use out of it, though if you have sensitive skin then I wouldn't use it every day. Although this isn't a scrub it is still abrasive on the skin, due to the nut particles, though I wouldn't let this put you off such a good product. 4 Dooyoo Stars are awarded, one being lost due to the inability as a daily cleansing cream for those with sensitive skin.
I was recommended this cream after I had had a facial at a London salon. They recommended it to me as it had purportedly very good gentle qualities for skin that had recently undergone abrasion techniques (the facial I had was an abrasive one). That's what they told me. So I went ahead and bought it in the salon. ~~~ The Packaging and pricing and availability ~~ The tube looks slightly medicinal with its clear white tubing and one flash of orange colour, additionally with the Dr title on it; it conjures up ideas of a prescription medication cream without needed the script. It cost me around £15.50 at the salon which I thought was a fair price for the after product they recommended. Also I had not heard of it at the time and so wanted to grab my chance to get the item whilst it was there in front of me. As this was a couple of years ago now I have since found out that you can get it in numerous other places and online stores. The availability to purchase seems far great now. ~~~ The Product ~~~ I have sensitive skin and this product was perfect for it. The product itself is a white cream thick consistency which has a slightly exfoliating feel to it. Like a normal exfoliator but with a more nourishing feel. The smell is a bit strange to me; has a slight herbal scent to it like wheat germ however that did not really put me off and the product did seem very gentle and nourishing on my skin. The cleanser contains lots of natural ingredients mainly sweet almond oil, Meal (which gives it the exfoliate feel), peanut oil, wheat germ oil, calendula flower extract, chamomile, and spring water, witch-hazel and St Johns Wart! - these are pretty much the main ingredients as you can see it is packed full of natural ingredients. ~~ Using it ~~ I used this when washing my face in the morning, I would cream it on my face and I used circular motions and then with a warm flannel would wipe off followed by splashing my face with warm water. They say you can use a muslin cloth but I found using a flannel just as effective (personally). Finishing off with a splash of cold water helped my face feel really cleansed and fresh. I would use this method in the evening for cleaning off my makeup and both times I can say that my skin felt fully cleansed, nicely exfoliated and cleansed afterwards. It does give your skin a nice glow to it and it did not leave my skin feeling tight. For me the only downside is that I am a little heavy handed with using products and tend to use far too much than is needed - I would say that a small grape size is enough to cleanse your face and neck to get it really clean. However on too many occasions I overly did this and so of course the product did not then last as long as I anticipated. But hey ho it is a lesson learned so hopefully if you do decide to purchase this you won't make the same mistake. ~~Conclusion~~ The reason I did not continue using the product afterwards was purely because I did not return to the London salon and so I ended up just purchase other cleansers that were easier to find off the shelf at Boots. However now I have remembered all the nice things about this product I am probably going to try and get some more online. The great thing about this product is I have now found out you can trial this for must £3.50 if you go directly to the Dr Hauschka website. Ok it will only be a trial size - but enough to see how you get on with it. I would rate this 5 stars - a fantastic product.
I bought a 10g trial size of this cleanser for £3.10 from the Dr. Hauschka website, after going through a bit of an obsession with the brand and wanting to try one of their cleansers. I had heard how ethical the company were and had always wanted to try their products, so gave them a shot. The trial size is very small, but comes in a little box of its own and even includes an instructional leaflet inside to tell you how to use the product. You aren't supposed to just rub the cleanser in, you have to use a 'press and roll' movement with your hands to gently lift the dirt from your skin. With the cleanser, a little bit goes a very long way. I squeezed about 1cm from the tube and this was enough to cover the whole of my face. The texture of the cleanser is almost like a scrub - it contains grains of nuts which when used on the skin feels like a very fine scrub. I can see why they would direct you to not rub the cleanser in, as the scrubbiness of it would probably be too harsh. It smells quite herby, but not in an unappealing way. I used this cleanser morning and night, along with the Clarifying Toner and Clarifying Day Oil. Although it helped to get rid of the larger spots, my skin is very sensitive, especially to anything exfoliating. As a results, the under the skin spots and bumps that were already there did not particular heal, and a few more formed in the process. I have since stopped using this as cleanser and have started using it as a weekly scrub instead. It is gentle enough to use as a scrub on my skin, but too scrubby to use as an every day cleanser. Since using it this way, I have been able to keep my skin soft and smooth, but it isn't being too aggravated either. Overall, I think this cleanser would be fantastic for skin that isn't sensitive. The trial size lasted me at least a month, so the full size, I think, is very good value money. It leaves skin feeling very soft and radiant. Unfortunately I won't be purchasing again due to my sensitive skin, but had I not had annoying under the skin spots, this would definitely be a brilliant cleanser.
I have been using this product on and off for about eight years. I sometimes try other cleansers but I always come back to this one. Dr Hauschka is a skincare and cosmetics brand with a heavy emphasis on natural ingredients. Most of the ingredients they use are either organic, biodynamic (similar to organic, but taken further) or Fairtrade. None of their products are tested on animals. More information is available on their website at www.drhauschka.co.uk. The product is in a 50ml tube which is sealed, and opened by means of a sharp spike on the inside of the cap (similar to a tube of toothpaste). The cream itself is actually more like a thick scrub than a cream as it is grainy and gritty. It has a pleasant smell. To use (morning and evening), you squeeze about an inch of the cream into the palm of your hand and add a little warm water to make a paste. Then you press the cream into your face (avoiding the eyes) using a rolling action with your fingertips for about 2 minutes. It is not supposed to be used like a scrub even though it resembles one. Then rinse with warm water and apply a muslin cloth soaked in cool water (I don't usually do this step). The best thing about this cream is the way it plumps up your skin, giving it a dewy look. I was 28 when I first started using it, and I was beginning to get those ageing grooves that go from your nose to the corner of your mouth. Within a few days of using this product, they had completely disappeared. It does not feel harsh on the skin as some cleansers do, rather it leaves your skin feeling as if the dirt has been removed without stripping the natural oils. You are not supposed to use a night cream with this product, although I usually do as I have quite dry skin. It is suitable for all skin types, even oily and combination. It won't remove heavy makeup, especially around the eyes, so you need to use a make-up remover first. Dr Hauschka do one called Cleansing Milk. I have tried other cleansers over the years, but none has been as good as this one. I think I'll just stick with it now. It costs around £14, which is pricey, but it is very good and you don't use much. A trial size is available from the website for £3.04, and it is also available at John Lewis and some independent retailers. Stockists can be found on the website.
A beneficial approach to healthy facial skin care is to use Cleansing Cream, with its mild and very effective action.
