This is a very top end product and is reflected with the ingredients they have in this moisture mask. I cannot argue that it doesn't say what it does on the tin- it will leave your skin feeling hydrated, moisturised and plump!
The downside to this product is the packing is very small- i was lucky to get more than 3 full face applications out of this product- and as i was using it once a week- i didn't even get a months worth out of purchasing this product.
So although it's a good product- i think there are better products on the market!
Although I am a fan of Dr. Hauschka because of the steep price I don't buy the items they have to offer, but for Christmas my grandparents bought me a load of the Dr. Hauschka products and made their own gift set up for me. The Dr. Hauschka Moisturizing Mask 30 ml size was included in this but they also popped in a few of the trial sized versions of this as well. I've never known how much this costs until now and the price is really shocking for such a small tube it's £36.95. I would never go out and buy this, in the long run the products may work but if you take care of yourself anyway you shouldn't have any need to buy these products at such an extortionate price, I can't even justify the price by saying you get a lot because you don't, the tube is very small! However as far as I'm aware Dr. Hauschka only use natural and fair trade ingredients which is probably why it's so expensive.
The look of this is very clean, the packaging is simple and reminds me of freshness which is something I like. I never read any instructions because I can't be bothered but this is "richly nourishing for extremely dry, sensitive, sun damaged skin." I don't suffer from any of these things but I suppose it's always nice to give your skin that extra boost of moisture. This contains Almond, Avocado and Jojoba oils which all help to moisturise your skin. The almond oil is over powering in this short list of ingredients because that's what this smells like and it isn't the best smell in the world and isn't really something I want my face to smell like but it wasn't unpleasant.
we're told to use this once of twice a week, I'm going to suggest that you use this as little as possible because of the price and the small size of the tube. Squeezing Some of this into my palm it's clean and gloopy but I tried to put this on my face sparingly in hope that it would last me but I know what I'm like and I always over do things but that's because I don't buy extortionate products. Leaving this roughly 10-15 minutes or until it's all dry then proceed to rinse off with warm water,I found this quite stiff to get off and it took me several minutes until my face was clear of this mask but when I used it a second time the cream was easy to remove, not sure why it changed.
The results were good but I have to say my face was already smooth and soft and the only flaw on my face is that I look tired so I cannot really tell what the effects of this was, although I wore this before I got in bed and my skin was still really silky soft the next day and it was a nice base for me to apply my make up and my make up did look a lot better, but for someone who doesn't need to use this at all I would suggest not wasting your money on it unless you desperately need too.
This mask hydrates your skin a lot yes, but is it worth the price? I cannot really say because I don't have any of the things it promises to repair such as sun damaged skin and sensitive skin so I feel that I cannot comment of the effects in the long run because this mask didn't make much of a difference to my face so for me this would be something I will never purchase which is the reason for such a low rating for a good product.
I have only ever used a few Dr Hauschka products being relatively newly aware of the brand. So far I have found them fairly reliable and consistent in their quality. They are pricey though so if you are looking for a cheap fix then you are probably best looking elsewhere.
This masque comes in a white 30 ml tube with an organe band and white screw lid. The design is very simple and honestly not especially appealing. It doesn't strike me as a very expensive looking product. That doesn't particularly bother me usually but this does seem a little uninspired and dated looking. That said, if the product is good enough I will happily overlook this. I like the lightweight plastic of the tube as it make it easy to use. The screw top is handy and feels very secure. I also like the size of the hole as it allows you to dispense the perfect amount without any waste.
It can be used as an intensive face mask or as a moisturiser for very dry skin. It is also meant to be effective on reducing the appearance of scars and sore skin. If you suffer or suffered from acne then this is meant to be particularly good. I didn't actually find it to be a particularly good moisturiser for me which is fine because I bought it primarily for the face mask function and I have plenty of excellent moisturisers. I applied it after getting out the bath so my hair was wet and out of the way. I then leave it for 20-25 minutes depending on how my skin is feeling.
I don't think it is the best face mask I have ever used but it probably is the most moisturising one. I often find face masks can dry the skin a little even though they leave it feeling soft and supple. I don't find that a huge problem as I regularly moisturise but it is nice to know there are products which don't dry your skin out as much. The mask does apply smoothly to your face and feels very creamy. Unlike other masks I do think this feels rich and luxurious to use. That is an added bonus for me as I generally use a face mask to treat my skin. It does leave my skin feeling smooth and hydrated and mattifies my complexion. It also rinses off fairly easily and with little hassle.
At roughly £30.00 for 30ml this is a very expensive product, more so that other similar brand products out there. I would happily give it 5 stars on quality but because for me it only fulfils one of the functions it is marketed for I really can't. I also think the price is a major downside and would prevent me from re-purchasing.
WHAT IS IT?
A face mask for use weekly, or can be used daily as a moisturiser for very dry skin problems.
HOW DO YOU USE IT?
Cleanse and tone as usual and apply after drying your face and neck. Leave for 20 minutes and remove with warm water on a face cloth.
IS IT ANY GOOD?
Yes, it's the most moisturising face mask I've ever used and I have used thousands on myself and my clients. It applies smoothly and will absorb into your skin to act as an intensive moisturiser, it has a creamy and greasy consistency that isn't very nice as you're applying it but feels very luxury as you relax with the mask on.
It wipes off easy and doesn't leave a residue on my skin, I don't rinse after I've wiped it off because I use it at night but it makes my skin look greasy for a few hours after using it so if I was going out afterwards I'd rinse this off and apply a mattifier.
It leaves my skin soft and well moisturised. My skin always feels healthy and plumped up, it's very heavy so sometimes I'll get a spot if I use it more than weekly but it's extremely moisturising and makes my skin look healthy any youthful.
At least 4 of my regular ladies choose this face mask when I give them their facial, it's a premium skin care product that gives noticeable effects in the form of soft and radiant skin. A 30ml tube is £35 but it's worth the money for such good results.
5 Dooyoo Stars.
I have never used any Dr Hauschka products before, it wasn't until I had read some reviews here on Dooyoo that I had really heard of the brand. Now I see the products advertised everywhere, even in the Health Food shop near where I live. So with everyone saying how fantastic the products are, including some friends of mine, I decided to try some of them out.
Thankfully I didn't have to pay the full retail price of £36.95 for this moisturising mask which for only 30ml is a bit steep, even for me. Instead I was able to the trial sized version for £5.95 from the Health shop when I purchased a few other items I fancied trying which were on offer. This mask is marketed as being "richly nourishing for extremely dry, sensitive, sun damaged skin", in this weather I have little or no chance of having sun damaged skin but it was dry and is sensitive.
The Dr Hauscka brand has a history which spans over 70 years, something I didn't know until I read up about them. They are proud of their organic heritage and tend to use only 100% natural and fairtrade ingredients. Their website is packed full of information that I simply cannot cram into this review, so feel free to check it out. Their products which can be bought either online or from local Health shops like the one I bought from and on their website is a 'store locater' option so that you can locate your nearest outlet selling these products. These products are quite noticeable from their packaging. This particular tube is bright white in colour and at the bottom has an orange band around it, something which is featured on all the Dr Hauschka products be it an eye cream face mask or a bath and body oil.
The product I purchased is the Moisturising mask because it is designed for use on very dry sensitivie skin which is exactly how I would describe the skin on my face. Even though I cleanse, exfoliate and mositurise regularly, I still find I have dry skin on my cheeks and on my forehead and rather than buy an abrasive exfoliator which could scratch my skin, I was advised to try a moistusing mask after exfoliating. The reason why I wanted to try this product is that you are told you use it everyday, more like a cream than a mask, for 6 weeks which allows your skin to have complete coverage during what is called its 'natural cycle', this effectively means the time it takes to shred your skin. Then after you have completed this cycle you can continue to use it once or twice a week and then as and when you need too.
With any product I am fascinated and usually tempted to buy something based on its fragrance and this partiuclar mask smells wonderful. Firstly there is sweet almond oil, an aroma which I really like and it is used because it is a great moisturiser and also helps the skin to absorb moisture. Avocado Oil which is high in Vitamin E content which in turn helps to protect and repair your skin. Olive Oil is also used and that too absorbs into the skin and acts as a moisturiser and is especially useful for those people with really dry skin. Shea Butter is also used and this is one of my favourite moisturising products because it really does help to leave your skin feeling soft and smooth and finally there is Quince extract, something I have never seen used before, but it is used in Dr Hausckha products and it helps to restore moisture to your skin and hydrates it. There are a few more ingredients which you can find written on the back of the tube or online.
So knowing what was in it and knowing it was safe to on my skin, I didn't hesitate in trying it. As my skin wasn't described as being severely dry, just dry, I was told to take the trial sized tube home and use it as a mask. So I cleaned and toned my face to ensure I had removed any dirt, grime and other mucky stuff from my face and that the pores on my face were open. I applied the product to my face liberally and then left it for 20 minutes whilst I laid in the bath reading. Once those 20 minutes were up, I removed excess cream from my face using a soft flannel like cloth that I use for this purpose. After using this mask my face was so soft and smooth and I hadnt felt my skin feel like this for years and any sight or sign fo dry skin had completely evaporated.
So naturally I have become quite a fan of this product and once my second trial sized tube runs out, unless I can find something I like more, I am more than tempted to purchase a 30ml tube, which if used as directed would last 2-3months, but I would wait until it is on offer because I am not sure my bank manager would be too impressed that I want to spend close to £40 on a face mask. It is however wonderful and I recommend trying it, even just a trial size tube.
