Advantages: smooth, hydrating, easy to use and remove

Disadvantages: not very appealing packaging, price, not really a moisturiser

I have only ever used a few Dr Hauschka products being relatively newly aware of the brand. So far I have found them fairly reliable and consistent in their quality. They are pricey though so if you are looking for a cheap fix then you are probably best looking elsewhere.

This masque comes in a white 30 ml tube with an organe band and white screw lid. The design is very simple and honestly not especially appealing. It doesn't strike me as a very expensive looking product. That doesn't particularly bother me usually but this does seem a little uninspired and dated looking. That said, if the product is good enough I will happily overlook this. I like the lightweight plastic of the tube as it make it easy to use. The screw top is handy and feels very secure. I also like the size of the hole as it allows you to dispense the perfect amount without any waste.

It can be used as an intensive face mask or as a moisturiser for very dry skin. It is also meant to be effective on reducing the appearance of scars and sore skin. If you suffer or suffered from acne then this is meant to be particularly good. I didn't actually find it to be a particularly good moisturiser for me which is fine because I bought it primarily for the face mask function and I have plenty of excellent moisturisers. I applied it after getting out the bath so my hair was wet and out of the way. I then leave it for 20-25 minutes depending on how my skin is feeling.

I don't think it is the best face mask I have ever used but it probably is the most moisturising one. I often find face masks can dry the skin a little even though they leave it feeling soft and supple. I don't find that a huge problem as I regularly moisturise but it is nice to know there are products which don't dry your skin out as much. The mask does apply smoothly to your face and feels very creamy. Unlike other masks I do think this feels rich and luxurious to use. That is an added bonus for me as I generally use a face mask to treat my skin. It does leave my skin feeling smooth and hydrated and mattifies my complexion. It also rinses off fairly easily and with little hassle.

At roughly £30.00 for 30ml this is a very expensive product, more so that other similar brand products out there. I would happily give it 5 stars on quality but because for me it only fulfils one of the functions it is marketed for I really can't. I also think the price is a major downside and would prevent me from re-purchasing.

Summary: Good but not enough to purchase again.
