*Price and Value*
This is another one of my mum's goodies as she is a fan of Doctor Hauschka. She told me she bought this for £15 in John Lewis though the Dr Haushka site puts it at £16.50. As always the price depends on where you buy it and for something that I believe is way overpriced I'd encourage you to shop around!
The full size is 100ml. (Recommended Retail Price £16.50)
The trial size is 10ml. (Price £3)
*What is it*
This is not a bubble bath! I repeat, this is not a bubble bath. It isn't even a cleanser. It's kind of like an air freshener for your bath. You add 1 or 2 cups of this 'essence' into a bath while it's running to create a calming atmosphere while you bathe.
I tried this out as I was curious as to what a calming bath essence really is. And to be honest, I was disappointed. It really is just scent.
But despite the smell size of the bottle (100ml) it lasts quite a while as every cup full is maybe 10ml.
You could do better buying real lavendar oil or maybe just a bubble bath or something with laevandar in if that's what you were really into. I didn't find this especially relaxing, but I do like the scent of lavendar. Obviously don't buy this if you don't like that scent.
Essentially overpriced lavendar oil. Just buy real lavander oil. Don't waste your money.
WHAT IS IT
It is an addition for your bath that is made with lavender extract. It is made by Dr Hauschka and comes in a small 100ml bottle but you need only to use a small amount so that size will last for a longer time than you think.
The smell of this bath essence is very beautiful. The lavender smells natural and it is floral but not sweet at all, it is very much like lavender you would find outside in the garden and I like that because when they make lavender synthetic a lot of companies do it very badly. The smell lasts for a long time and lingers in the air of my bathroom, it doesn't linger on my skin so good and that is a pity but I am glad about that in one way because I wear perfume and I think the lavender fragrance of this would interfere with it.
HOW YOU USE IT?
You pour a very small amount into your bath water and swirl it around with your hand. You can use it as a home air freshener also by pouring a few drops of essence into a bowl of water and placing it onto your table.
WHAT I THINK
I like this bath essence very much and think it does relax me when I have a bath and use it, lavender does have this effect on me anyway but I have seen that when I use this product by Dr Hauschka the way it relaxes me is alot more natural than other lavender products.
This does not clean my skin very good on its own so I make sure I always take my body wash into the bath so that after I have soaked in the lavender bath I can wash myself.
It makes my skin feel very soft after I get out of the bath and after I have dried myself.
A bottle of 100ml of Dr Hauschka Moor Lavender bath essence costs £12 and I think that is value because the small bottle lasts for alot longer than you think it is going to because you need only to use a small bit.
5 Dooyoo Stars.
This finely aligned product with horse chestnut and horsetail extracts is based on a moor extract prepared using a special rhythmic procedure. When combined with warm water, it offers a sense of enveloping protection. Almond and avocado oil gently moisturise your skin. To use: Add several capfuls of Moor Lavender Calming Bath Essence into the stream of running water as the bathtub fills.
