... game has two different level types. Adventure stages and action stages. The adventure stages are for general play. These stages give the game an rpg type feel, which is not typical of Sonic games. Having said that, i had hoped for a Sonic rpg for a long time. So was initially pleased to see this. Being able to wander around freely at a relaxed pace, and even talk to people. The graphics seemed nice, and it was quite enjoyable for a while. But the novelty soon wore off. ... has to be one of the best beat em up games ever made for the dream cast! I played the original game when it vame out on the Playstation and dismissed it as Tekken with weapons. How wrong I was. I got Soul Caliber the first day it was out and haven t regretted the purchase for a single moment. I had always liked the Tekken series of games due to the excellent control system they used, but this game takes its cues from Tekken and just enhances the whole experience.
