Silent Scope (DC):
... Scope began as a rather genius arcade game, in which you operated a mounted sniper rifle, with the intention of picking off numerous fleets of baddies in the allotted time before they succeeded in one of their nefarious plots. Now, the thought of porting this to a console is just a big headache, so Konami went with the almost unthinkable approach of just letting you use the controller and not even releasing a ... Shenmue II (DC) ... there s one Dreamcast game that s absolutely like goldust to track down, it s Shenmue 2. Copies on E-Bay start at about £25, and you can look to pay up to £40-50 for a mint condition copy of the game. This caused many to buy the Xbox version, which includes a dub, whereas the Dreamcast version is simply subtitled (which is strange, considering the original game had a dub done for it!). Because of the pure nostalgia factor, it s the DC version all the way for me! Shenmue ends as Ryo with Ryo still in pursuit of Lan Di, who murdered his father, and must travel to Hong Kong to square up with him. The Hong Kong scenery is mostly similar to that of the original game, altho... Read the full review: One of the best games ever by shaneo632 |

Crazy Taxi 2 (DC) ... how Crazy Taxi 2 isn t really much of an advancement, technologically or otherwise, on the original game, it s difficult to recommend unless you saw it for a few quid (which, 8 years on, is now quite a distinct possibility), but it s still a damn fun outing that somehow makes a taxi simulator game incredibly fun! You re essentially time-restricted, with the challenge being to pick up as many fares and make as much money as possible! Of course, there s the requisitve array of zany characters, and this actually employs some thought, because the drivers will suit you better depending on what fares and what types of route you like doing - bumpy rides that require a stu... ECW Hardcore Revolution (DC) ... were a very strange creator of wrestling video games back in the day - after Midway gave it a very arcadey approach, they decided to opt for a more refined approach that requires you to think about the match and press special combos to pull of moves. The only problem is that it becomes rather mechanical, and of course, most people aren t going to remember any of these, resulting in both players pressing pause every few seconds to figure out how to do a dropkick. WWF Attitude was well crafted enough that I let them get away with it, but ECW Hardcore Revolution is a pretty naff addition to the wrestling game genre. The reason why Acclaim tackled ECW was because the... Read the full review: Soulless cash-in by shaneo632 |
