4 Wheel Thunder is the most frustrating game I have ever had the unpleasant misfortune of owning. It may well LOOK quite nice, and may well have been given 8/10 by 2 leading Dreamcast magazines, but if the game has a rubbish concept and is a Dog to play then why bother.

The game boasts that over 60 cars are available, but here's the fun part - you have to access them by winning every race in the game which is absolutely impossible, and then even if you finish 2nd out of 12 the annoying game voice shouts abusively at you 'YOU LOSE'. In my opinion it's the game that loses, I've had it for a week now and in my view the game sucks.

There's no reward for skill as the tracks are way too tight to turn in and the only way to win is by using ALL the power ups in the game. I honestly deteste this game and I warn you all now not to buy it. I'm off to trade this one in - I'm glad I won it from Special Reserve - if I'd splashed out 40 quid then I'd never be able to live with myself.

Now I have sold the game and I have no regrets about it - it's a game that you either like or hate or don't really care about - and, although the game looked alright - I really think Midway gave us a poor game here.
