shaneo632 ECW Hardcore Revolution (DC): ... were a very strange creator of wrestling video games back in the day - after Midway gave it a very arcadey approach, they decided to opt for a more refined approach that requires you to think about the match and press special combos to pull of moves. The only problem is that it becomes rather mechanical, and of course, most people aren t going to remember any of these, resulting in both players pressing pause...

shaneo632 Sonic Adventure 2 (DC)
... Adventure set the standard on the Dreamcast that all future Sonic games would have to follow as we transitioned into the next generation of gaming - the graphics were amazing, and the gameplay offered a new modern spin on a classic concept, sending Sonic hurtling into the new stage of gaming. Sonic Adventure 2 takes what made the first game so great and enhances it somehow - not only does it take a few steps to fix the pesky camera issues that plagued the first game (although they still haven t ironed this out completely, unfortunately), but it s got superb graphics, from the shine of Sonic s shell, to the bloom lighting in the beach-style levels. Speaking of which...

shaneo632 Who Wants to be a Millionaire? (DC)
... recall having this game on the Dreamcast some years ago, and although it s a rather nifty idea, it s not up to much here - it s been crafted with extreme laziness, and whilst we all love the TV show, it just hasn t translated very well here into a game because the developers went for the cheapest, most tawdry approach possible. What s more, when it retailed for about £40 on release, what s the point, when it makes absolutely zero use of the Dreamcast s enhanced graphics capabilities, and is even an embarassment enough to be on the PS1! It s a shame, because it s a novel idea. We all know how the game works - 10 contestants begin in a "fastest finger first" ro...

shaneo632 WWF Royal Rumble (DC)
... ve played virtually every wrestling game that has ever existed, and whilst the Dreamcast s Royal Rumble isn t jam-packed with the vast options that the Smackdown series of the same generation did, it had one killer feature that blew the PS2 s wrestling games out of the water - the ability to have up to nine wrestlers on the screen at once, a mind-blowingly astounding achievement that really still hasn t been bettered, even on the PS3 and Xbox 360. The game is very minimalist aside from this, though - there s an exhibition mode where you can pick any two wrestlers and have a brawl, and then there s the icing on the cake that is the Royal Rumble which, without this, the ...
