shaneo632 Bass Fishing (DC): ... Nintendo Wii probably owes a lot to games like Sega Bass Fishing, which tested the waters with the rather goofy interactive game genre, which Nintendo then perfected with their hugely successful console (and as a result released the game on their console also!). Whilst the idea of a fishing sim is hardly the most invigorating idea out there, and I certainly wasn t one who parted with £40 for this game back on rel...

shaneo632 Jet Set Radio (DC)
... first game I got for the Dreamcast was Jet Set Radio, is a visually stunning title that still stands up extremely well today, and is notable for making the use of cel-shaded graphics popular in games - thus, later iterations of the Zelda and Prince of Persia franchises owe a lot to this superb game. The game pits you as a skater, who goes around a Japanese district, spray-painting and performing various other tasks, whilst trying to outrun the police, who get tougher and tougher the longer they re on you (ultimately throwing gas grenades at you!). You form a skate gang early on, and also have enemy gangs who will chase you if they see you, but if you can defeat them ...

shaneo632 Dead or Alive 2 (DC)
... Dreamcast was a very fortunate console when it came to beat em ups - it managed to get a lot of the most revolutionary fighting games of the 2000s and late 90s, including Dead or Alive 2, a visually impressive fighting game that introduced many revolutionary elements to the fighting series, perhaps most notably the idea of destructible environments, giving the genre greater depth, and allowing the player a world more freedom. As fantastic as the ability to fight over waterfalls, and throw your opponent through walls is, it would be a mistake to not mention what is probably the most notorious element of the game - the fact that Tecmo devoted an entire physics engine t...

shaneo632 Ready 2 Rumble Boxing (DC)
... 2 Rumble Boxing is an extremely fun, cartoon-style boxing game that s something of a response to the numerous franchise titles released around the same time, such as EA s Knockout Kings. This game has absolute no pretension at all towards authenticity or realism, both as it relates to gameplay and visuals, and instead focuses purely on being fun, off the wall, and very crazy! The most famous character is without a doubt Afro Thunder, a Jimi Hendrix lookalike who can deliver lightning fast punches, and is probably the best fighter in the game if you re new to the game (although picking things up takes very little time indeed). However, there is a plethora of colourf...
