scream4bruce Time Stalkers (DC): ... fantasy world - a collection of worlds from many eras and locations, with a cast of characters from other games by Climax. Mysterious to say the least. The rather basic turn-based battle system seems flawed. A monster on your party could hit an enemy on disobeying your order despite not having a move to attack at such range. Battles are not random, but can appear clumsy, with characters running into things and att...

Wolfzilla Outriggers (DC)
... was one of the last games released for the Sega Dreamcast, and is notable for several reasons. Arguably the most unusual factor surrounding it is the fact its actually based upon an arcade game from 1999, which raises the question of why release it to console gamers 3 years later in 2002? The fact it was an Arcade title raises 2 more noteworthy aspects of it. The game is a First-Person-Shooter (FPS), which isn t a genre I d readily associate with arcades, which, well the 4 or whatever that still exist, usually consist of fighting, driving, 2D shooters and dancing games. Furthermore, it s a FPS made by a Japanese company, which makes it a rarity in itself. Unfor...

Wolfzilla Red Dog - Superior Firepower (DC)
... the only good thing to come out of the premature demise of the Sega Dreamcast was the fact it led to droves of unsold games for the system being flogged off at discount prices. When this happened I picked up a great few games I d never have touched before...all for less than the price of lunch at McDonalds. Red Dog: Superior Firepower was one such game that I d never even heard of before picking it up, and it turned out to be something of a pleasant surprise. Released in 2000, fairly early into the Dreamcast s life, Red Dog never really received any fanfare, and I ve rarely heard it mentioned, even in discussions about the Dreamcast and games nobody talks about....

scream4bruce Phantasy Star Online Version 2 (DC)
... review of Phantasy Star Online Version 2 which only considers the offline aspect of the game!* I don t believe there are significant differences between this and the first version of the game to warrant going for one over the other. While the official servers are down there are means of playing this game (or any other PSO title) online. However, for those who do not know enough to get it set up (like me) is it worth it for the offline experience? Firstly, there are a handful of unique character types to choose from, and then it s off to the Hunter s Guild - undertaking quest missions here sums up offline in a nutshell. The story - whatever there is of it - is not a re...
