Disadvantages: Boring after a month

The trouble with most flight simulators - plane games - is that they're just so darn boring - uncontrollable, horrible looking jagged grey plane shaped objects at your control pad's peril - why are these games even created?

Aerowings 1 was a fair game - to be honest I am not a great fan of this genre, but the game did have some plus points - great graphics, they really were very slick, smooth and the frame rate was impressive. You could also handle the plane, there weren't 50 controls you had to master before taking off - it was a decent enough game, just a bit pointless as you couldn't really do anything.

Aerowings 2 however is a far superior title, "Airstrike" would suggest that you can now actually use weaponary, and horrah, you can!

Yes, it's time to buckle up, take off and have some decent dog fights - superb two player fighting can be had here, although occasionally it's hard to see your target, but in general this is one of the best flying/flight simulators out there. The controls are simple and easy to learn, you can perform some stunning air acrobatics, and the one player modes are also fairly good.

Graphically stunning - amazing lighting effects, sky patterns and scaling, it all looks very realistic, and I have to say I was impressed.
It's available for just £10 in most stores, as the DC has stopped being produced and games are now real cheap for it.

Top game, Top gun, top buy, 5 stars.
