Once upon a time, a game like Capcom Vs. SNK, or Capcom Vs. SNK: Millenium Fight 2000 to give it it's full title, would never and could never have existed. But this was back in the good old days when Capcom and SNK's 2D fighting games ruled the arcades, and names like Fatal Fury, King of Fighters, Streetfighter and Darkstalkers wouldn't bring up a confused expression on young gamers faces, it probably would have got them giddy with excitement. How things change, and in an effort to keep the genre alive, it's two main forces combined their efforts in 2000 to create this game, every fanboy's wet dream for the past however many years. I can remember this had just ... Read the complete review

When I first heard about Capcom Vs SNK being developed a few years ago I was a happy man. Very very happy. I had dreamed of a Vs game between the 2 for years. What I wouldn't give to pit Geese Howard against Guile. Both Capcom and SNK are 2 of my favorite developers out there. They also make the finest 2D fighting games you can get. This review as mentioned in the title is actually a review of the Pro edition released awhile back in Japan. What's the difference between the regular and Pro? Not really too much im afraid. What ... Capcom have finally delivered what the fans have been dreaming about for years. However, is capcom vs SNK what the fans asked for? I'll start with the good: In essence the game should be called StreetFighter vs. King of Fighters because what we have here is a game with only one character outside the periphery of the two. This is a good thing, for it immediately negates super jumps, chaining, larger than life specials and even larger super specials. Air blocks which previously left characters like Guile and Charlie useless, have also been removed; thus what we are left with is a relatively old school technical fighter. We find that ... Capcom and SNK - two of the biggest names in beat-em-up games. I am a big SNK fan, I love to play the King of Fighters Series, Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting Series. I also enjoy playing Street Fighter games. So you can imagine how excited I was when I first heard about Capcom VS SNK. I had already played the Neo Geo Pocket version of the game which was developed by SNK and that game was an excellent one. I had high hopes for Capcom's interpretation of the title. All the favourites from each faction are present - Kyo, Terry, Ryo, Iori from SNK and Ryu, Chun li, Ken from Capcom, to name a few. There are literally piles of characters to choose from, with a ... A dream match up of two of the biggest fighting franchises . Yes and is it that good? Maybe. I say maybe because when you have a game like capcom vs snk, your expectations are so high that we you finally get to play the game you?ll feel disappointed at first the roster of characters is impressive, over 25, the best from both franchises. But when you get to actually playing the save you?ll notice that most of characters animations have been ? copy and pasted?, from their original games to this game, so how Kyo look in King Of Fighter is the exactly how he looks have and how Zangief looked in Alpha series is how he look here. Only a few characters have a completely new ... Read the complete review
