Crazy Taxi also includes its original "arcade" style rules which require the player to continually play against a timer and score the highest amount of points possible until expiry. The gameplay of this title keeps with the original arcade platform very well. The pace is extremely fast, demanding and engaging. The overall requirements of the game do become slightly repetitive over time but the title has retained its charm for me throughout the yea...more

"Crazy Taxi" is a video game which was released for the Sega Dreamcast in 2000 by Sega. It is a driving simulation game which was ported from an earlier freestanding arcade machine of the same name. In the United States, the game received an age rating of "T" which deemed the title suitable for teenage years and above. The game boasts the most simple yet engaging of concepts. Players in this title are required to assume the role of one of four taxi drivers and tour through two distinct cities in search of fares. These fares will instruct the driver as to where they wish to go and the game becomes a beat-the-clock challenge wherein players ...  Read the complete review

The Dreamcast was a true gaming tragedy - it had so many fantastic games, such as Crazy Taxi, but still floundered, and thus remains considered "too ahead of its time". That said, Crazy Taxi is a devilishly simple game that was a considerable hit upon its release, and has seen sequels released on the PS2, GameCube, and Xbox. The idea of a taxi driving sim might not sound like the most invigorating thing possible, but trust me - this one throws out the rule book, making this a frenzied, visually impressive, off the wall racing game, where your goal is simply to pick up and drop off fares within the allotted time. Simple enough? Well, there's enough ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Crazy Taxi (DC): My Favourite Dreamcast Game. (316 words)

I love this game! It was my favourite game on the Sega dreamcast and the sountrack even today plays back in my head sometimes and reminds me of my childhood. I recieved a Dreamcast for Christmas one year and unfortunately the game it came with, sonic, didn't work. I took sonic back and exchanged it for crazy taxi, which out of all of the games I bought remained my favourite game. The game is quite original. You play a taxi driver and you have to drive around the city, picking up customers and getting them to their destination is as quick a tie as possible. One of the most popular destinations for example was "The Original Levi's Store". When you're ...  Read the complete review

Crazy Taxi - Dreamcast (Ahhhh the memories..) I remember being younger and playing this game on the Dreamcast, it is probably the only game i do remember playing on the console!. One of the best things about this game is that it had places to drive customers to which were in real life aswell such as Pizza Hut and Mcdonalds(correct me if im wrong) and was there a Burger King(?). Also the number of things to do on the game were pretty awesome to such as the time trial where you had to keep getting customers to add more time onto the amount of time left for driving. The steering of the taxi seemed pretty hard mostly when trying ...  Read the complete review

Last week, Thanx to the downfall of Sega, I was able to walk in to my local game store and purchase this rather spiffing dreamcast sensation. All well your may think, however I do not have a dreamcast, I have a brand spanking new playstation 2. You see, as Sega were not making enough money off selling their dreamcast, they have decided to concentrate on making software titles. Both for themselves and for other rival companies. I.e. Sony, and Nintendo. WHATS IT ALL ABOUT? ******************* Basically you drive a taxi around a huge environment picking up customers and taking them to their destinations. You earn money based on the ...  Read the complete review
