My Favourite Dreamcast Game. (Crazy Taxi (DC))

Advantages: Great Music, Fun to Play

Disadvantages: Getting a little old nowadays.

I love this game! It was my favourite game on the Sega dreamcast and the sountrack even today plays back in my head sometimes and reminds me of my childhood. I recieved a Dreamcast for Christmas one year and unfortunately the game it came with, sonic, didn't work. I took sonic back and exchanged it for crazy taxi, which out of all of the games I bought remained my favourite game.

The game is quite original. You play a taxi driver and you have to drive around the city, picking up customers and getting them to their destination is as quick a tie as possible. One of the most popular destinations for example was "The Original Levi's Store". When you're time limit runs out, you are awarded with a license, the class of which depends on how much money you earned during your taxi spree. I always seemed to achieve the "Class B License".

The music that accompanies the game is fantastic. My favourite track to the game is "All I want" sung by The Offspring. The graphics on the dreamcast were not bad I have to say and the game was made a lot easier by the arrow in the sky which pointed to show the direction you had to head in. Everytime you crash your client tells you off which is mildly amusing to begin with.

Aside from the main game that I have described, there were also smaller type games that you could play. I remember one involved popping balloons or something of that kind of principal, and did not involve picking up passengers at all. The smaller games were also very fun.

I intend to go into the attic one day soon, find this game and get it out for a play to remind myself of old times!

Summary: Superb and Fantastic.
