Advantages: Its another light gun game

Disadvantages: I only have an import version so not to sure on whats going on

At last another light gun game! Before, all we had was the House of the Dead 2, to use with our trusty light weapon, but it appears that a few more gun games are coming out.
This games is a tad strange to say the least and does borrow bits from House of the Dead and Confidential Mission (i don't know if this came out before or after Confidential mission - sorry)
It seems all is not right on the world (what a suprise in a gun game!) and that ramapging beasts and mosters are running amok (Again, no suprise!) Its up to you to save the day, there is a very basic plot, find the proffesor, save the professor, save the girl, kill the head monster and the world is happy! Well thats what i could gather, i have a jap import and can't really tell what they are saying, but from what i saw that is what i guess was happening - i was just happy shooting away!.
The creatures you come up against don't follow any one type, ie zombies, robots etc. You get them all! You are up against Robot type nastys that will shoot at you, then nasty zombies, with rotting flesh, trying to see if your brain will go down nicely with a glass of wine! Each type has its weak spots and the games tells you where is is when you first encounter anything that could prove tricky (this is a good feature, otherwise you could spend a long time blasting away but doing no damage), but once you have encounted the same thing several times you are expected to remember.
You have the usual bits and bobs to collect, but there is one nice differnce. With the machine guns, you can store these till you actuall need them! to call on them just hold the trigger down and watch an energy bar fill up and then release instant death (hopefully!) on all that stand in your way. A big thumbs up for that one.
The bosses are tough but not impossible, but expect a sore trigger finger after a while.
To sum up, a good shooter, just wish i could speak japanesse to find out what was going on!

It'll be interesting to see if the true storyline resembles your Japanese interpretation :) Good op, Steve
