"ECW Anarchy Rulz" is a video game which was released for the Sega Dreamcast in 2001 by Acclaim. It is a sports game with professional wrestling being represented. In the United States, the game received a rating of "T" which deemed it suitable for ages 13 and above. After the disappointing reception of "Hardcore Revolution", ECW Anarchy Rulz was released to serve as a sequel and give professional wrestling gaming a more "ECW" feel. The former title was criticized for bearing too significant of a resemblance to other professional wrestling games and their respective promotions. Being that ECW was the radical outlaw of ... Let me clear one thing up before we begin, any wrestling fan can step up for this one not just ECW fans, and if you for one moment think the game is out dated or old hat just because Mr McMahon and his WWE (or WWF as they were back then) put Paul Heyman's ECW out of business at the Survivors Series - wrong partner! ECW Anarchy Rulz features many current WWE grappling greats such as RVD, Tommy Dreamer, Spike Dudley, Justin Credible, Tajiri, Rhyno, Lance Storm, Jerry Lynn and Paul Heyman in their original ECW styles. The game has a comprehensive set of career modes, create a wrestler, pay-per-view and stable, as well as a wealth of other options. The ... Read the complete review

This title for the Dreamcast goes by the name of ECW Anarchy Rulz. This is a wrestling game made by Acclaim which I came across by accident. I'm a huge wrestling fan but for some reason prior to this games release t wasn't even on the radar. And maybe foe good reason, the previous ECW game Hardcore Revolution didn't go down too well in stores so how did this effort fair? Well they tried , thats the best I can say about this. the major problem is the engine in which the game ran. In 1998 WWF Warzone was a brilliant wrestling game ,then WWF Attitude came along and was even better. But when the N64 got the Wrestling License and THQ started the Playstation version ... If someone tell you that ECW is rubbish or WWF is much better. Tell em "You're joking right?"!! Because this game rules. Blood, gore and action all put together into one. Brimstone, dumpster, street fight, rage in a cage and table matces are just totally amazing. Career modes, belt tours... Let me tell you about some of the real features. IN career mode you start off as a rookie battling his way up through the ranks for the TV title until you win that and go for the ECW Heavyweight Championship. You'll face rivals on the way and get into many brawls. But its all worth it when you win. If you do win, you will unlock the Heavyweight Belt Tour in which you ... Read the complete review
