Advantages: Fast and slick

Disadvantages: Boring!!

Gauntlet was one of the first multiplayer games I ever played, when I was younger a friend and I spent hours on his Amiga slaughtering legions of orcs, wizards and other monsters.

And now that classic has gone 3D and it has done it in typical DC style.

The graphics are awesome and the speed of the gameplay is deadly.

You choose a wizard, knight, warrior, valkerie, sorceress or jester either individually or in a team to fight your way through a dozen worlds and recover the shards of the portal to the demon realm from their guardians??

Sound good??

Its not!!!

Well it is for about a day or two and then you start to notice little things like the only way to refill your warriors life is to constantly redo an easy level with loads of food there, or the fact that the levels are all really very simular.

This game is good fun and I am sure that I am going to get it out and play it a few times but really it does get terribly tiresome.

Though if you like me were an old school gauntlet fan it is worth buying for sheer nostalgia value.
