"Gaunt Legends" is a video game which was released for the Sega Dreamcast in 2000 by Midway. It is an action adventure game based on an earlier freestanding arcade game of the same name; itself a remake of the original 1980s "Gauntlet". In the United States, the game received a rating of "T" which deemed it ...  Read the complete review

Gauntlet Legends is one of those games which is bound to split opinion. Other reviewers have complained it is boring and one dimensional, but for me, that is probably a generational difference of opinion. I loved this game. Yes it is one dimensional as you run around a variety of locations killing monsters. I use the term 'variety' in ...  Read the complete review

In the early days of home computing an arcade conversion made everyone stand up and take notice. It involved an elf, valkyrie, wizard and warrior entering a dungeon and slashing their way through ghosts, goblins and many other nasty critters in an attempt to build up as much gold as they could get, grab the keys and get out of the maze! ...  Read the complete review

A long long time B.X. (before Xena) there was a game that was the king of hack and slash, a game called Gauntlet. In this game that is not that different to Diabilo II you have to kill thousands of Ogres, orcs, goblins, and other assorted minions of hell to get to the big bad, a really big demon summoned by a stupid wizard.(the ...  Read the complete review

Ah, Gauntlet. A classic game from the 80's, one that just seemed to eat more and more coins and time, however much you wanted to go home. Well, it's back, or to be more precise, something not at all familiar with slightly similar characters and the word 'Gauntlet' is back, and guess what? It's terrible. Looking ...  Read the complete review

Gauntlet was one of the first multiplayer games I ever played, when I was younger a friend and I spent hours on his Amiga slaughtering legions of orcs, wizards and other monsters. And now that classic has gone 3D and it has done it in typical DC style. The graphics are awesome and the speed of the gameplay is deadly. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Gauntlet Legends (DC): rubbish! (104 words)

This is a really annoying game, there are loads of characters, which are all really similar and do mainly the same thing, they all suck. Also there are always too many enemies on screen at the same time (about 50!) which makes the game very slow and difficult to see where you are going, all you have to do is hold the attack button and keep steping ...  Read the complete review

The best part of this game is by far the Multi-player part of the game. This game is really quite boring in single player mode but in the 2,3 or 4 player mode it is quite a decent game. The is a major flaw in this game and that is that it is far too easy. Well at least, for me it is. This game is a 3d scrolling beat em up. This game reminded me ...  Read the complete review
