Advantages: many various missions, good WW2 game

Hidden and Dangerous is a World War Two strategy come role playing game in which you can control a small unit of allied soldiers.

There are 6 operation spanning Italy, Norway, Yugoslavia, Germany with a number of missions in each. About 24 missions all together. You can set the difficulty as easy, medium or hard. It is a challenge even on the easy setting.

At the start of your missions you have to pick you team of 1 to 4 men, each one has various shooting, stealth, strength, reactions and endurance, But to be honest, I don't think this makes a difference in the game. Once you have the team you can watch a briefing set out on a model outlining the order of attack. You do not have to follow these, You can go in all guns blazing if you wish. It may be best to watch the briefing so you will know which weapons will be best for each mission. You choose these before you start. There are all the authentic WW2 weapons on offer. Sten Guns, Flare guns, Colt 1911, Johnson rifle, Lee enfield sniper rifle, Dynamite and much more. Bu you can only carry so much, And you can pick up the weapons from fallen allies and Germans. You can control each man separately or as a team and you can give orders and set tasks for each man and watch them carry them out.

The missions include destroying shipping equipment on the Danube, Steal uniforms and a boat, Use a tank to blow up a river lock, Storm a partizan bunker, Attack large mansions and capture Germans, Destroy a power station, Search a sinking German destroyer, escort scientist to safety and many more.

All the missions are well detailed and some have a large playing area. There are night and day missions set in all weathers. Some are easy but some seem very hard to finish and can be annoying as you die over and over again. There are some problems with the game, One is there seems to be some slowdown on certain missions and when using vehicles. The last few missions seem to easy a
s though the came was rushed to get it finished.

Overall it is a very good game on the Dreamcast and a must for WW2 fans.
