Advantages: Great gameplay, addictive, decent graphics, varied tracks

Disadvantages: Damn hardest game ever

A lot of people don't take notice of this game. But up and down through the countries bargain bins you will find this game at a very cheap price (£7 in my local EB).

So basically you drive your boat down rivers and have to win the race, blah blah blah. However this game differs to the other hundred Dreamcast racers by:
1) Being on water, it has a very different physics engine
2) Nifty boost system

The water theme seperates this from the competition, so you won't have to go back to yet another boring street racing game.
Scattered around the track are boost power ups, collect these to add to your boost meter. Holding down the boost button gives you a nice increase in speed. This means that the game requires a bit more thought that your average racer.

Graphically, this game is top-notch. It isn't the best on the console for making your friends jealous, but it's still rather lovely. Sounds are decent too.

The game is divided into 3 sections, easy, medium and difficult. The first level sees you racing down an icy river against about 20 opponents. Along with other racers, you will find other people on the rivers such as jet skiiers, cruise boats and police!

As you progress through the game new levels and boats unlock. The developers have done a good job here, the boats look stunning and each one handles differently.

Another good feature of this game is the "boost jump". Doing a quick combo on your joypad makes your boat jump up into the air to reveal new shortcuts (ooh and there's no shortage of them either).

The problem I have with this game is the difficulty. I've played this for hours yet still I can't finish first in any of the races. Call me a fool if you will, but this game is god damn hard. I hope this doesn't put people off because they will be missing out on one of the best racers on the/any console.

If you are off put by the boat racing t
heme (but really it's decent), 4-Wheel Thunder is another game in the series which may interest you, though in my opinion this is much better.
