Advantages: Its fun!
Disadvantages: Uninteresting combat at times
This is a game that every Dreamcast owner should have. Since the DC is no more, you can pick this up for next to nothing. You play Raziel, a vampire cast out by his brothers. You have been resurrected to seek revenge on the vampire Kain and his minions. To do so involves a Tomb Raider style game with much running, jumping and climbing. However, you also get magical abilities, and can increase your health by feeding on souls. You also cannot Die - you simply pass to the spirit realm where you can build up your energy again. Since the architecture in the real world and spirit real are often different, some puzzles require you to pass between realms. For example, in some places you cannot make a jump, so you switch to the sprit realm, the scenery changes, you jump to where you need, then change back. Destroying vampires can be done with water, light, fire, spikes etc. You also learn new abilities as you progress - you inherit them from allen vampires. Before long you can pass through locked gates, climb walls, sip from the sould of the living and become invunrable to water. The levels are well designed, the characters are nice, and the atmospherics are very good. Its much nicer looking on the Dreamcast than it was on the playstation.
