... Capcom 1 (understandable since it is teams of three this time I suppose). Coming in, we have a funky jazz/soul soundtrack which seems curiously out of place, more assists from both of your team mates, 3 vs 3 matches, a lack of backgrounds and a bit of a rubbish boss compared to Apocalypse and Onslaught For the hardcore, it is an excellent purchase, but for newcomers to the series, it may feel a bit empty and shoddily put together eg 2 Wolverines? Morrigan's horrible sprite?...more

The greatest crossover game ever? Quite possibly. A roster so big it puts King of fighters to shame? Definately. Broken tierings? Of course! It can only be Capcom's Marvel vs Capcom 2. It is pretty impressive that the DC version is virtually arcade perfect, surpassing the pretty accurate Xbox version and the awful Playstation 2 release. All the sixty plus characters are here, all the strange glitches such as the Gambit Glitch, make it in from the arcade and all the infinites such as Cable's AVHB and Magneto's ROM shenanigans made the cut. For the hardcore, this is the perfect conversion. Arcade perfect, simple training mode and plenty of options. ...  Read the complete review

Possibly the most successful Capcom 2D fighter, hell fighter full-stop, since Streetfighter 2, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2: A New Age of Heroes, hereby referred to as MvC2 for the sake of brevity, was a game that was the sole reason a lot of gamers bought a Sega Dreamcast. After the success of Marvel Vs. Capcom, everyones favourite franchise milkers returned a few years later with what was possibly their biggest fighter ever. That's in terms of roster, scope, critical and financial success. While it remains a 2D fighter in terms of graphics and engine, MvC2 is really quite far removed from the Streetfighter series of games in many ways. First of all, while Tag-Team ...  Read the complete review

Marvel VS Capcom 2 has been around in the arcade for a long period of time now and it is starting to gain the well-deserved respect it needs. It is the sequel to the less popular Marvel VS Capcom, which is available on most platforms. There have been many different stages of development in this series. It started off with just the Marvel series and then progressed into Marvel Vs Street Fighter. Finally there is now Marvel VS Capcom 2, which takes almost everything combined in all the past games and puts it onto one disk on the Dreamcast. You have around 50 characters, most of which are not available too you unless you unlock them after playing. You will find all ...  Read the complete review

Wolverine, Spiderman and all their friends all in one big fight?! Believe it! One of the best licenses in year has dawned the Dreamcast. All the marvel characters you could ever think of are crammed in here along with all your Capcom favourites. All the characters have been given their individual moves and special attacks. The animation is almost as good as watching a cartoon as well! The `VS` series started off with Street Fighter VS X-men. It didn’t contain many characters but of course it was a massive hit. There were two people on each team and they could jump in at any time they wanted. The best version was on Sega’s Saturn as it contained ...  Read the complete review

This is one truly mad game!! When my mate said he was going to buy it I didnt think that it was a very good idea!! Since i played it however i have totally changed my mind. Dont brand this game as "Another game in the Street fighter series" becuase it is far more than that. This game has a stunning 56 characters and a jaw dropping sceneries!! Each characters have a 5th costume which you can purchase in the shop with the points you earn for good fighting in Arcade Mode!! You can gain points in this game for training or performing well in arcade mode and you can use these points in the shop to purchase costumes, stages and extra ...  Read the complete review
