Advantages: A bargain at under £40
Disadvantages: Becomes difficult for the less commited
I was a little concernred after purchasing MSR, hearing that the game was slightly flawed, but as a Dreamcast fan, it was a game I just had to own. When you first start up MSR you know you,ve got a ambitious product, the sheer amount of options is amazing, you can tune the options to suit your personal needs. As you get into the Street Racing section, (this is where the real action is) you'll notice the sheer scale of the game, 25 chapters of 10 races (which consist of hot laps, challenges, timed runs, street races, one on ones and championships). It seems quite a lot of work at first, which it is, but you'll want to do it, this game is the most rewarding i've ever played. Cars await at the end of each chapter, and special vehicles are available throughout, with around 40 in all. And you'll be pleased to know they're all great, the final beast, Nissan Skyline GTR is worth playing the game through for and you'll know it when you finally get to drive it. The game real talking point is the tracks which are based around real modelled streets of three areas of London, Tokyo and San Fransisco. While tracks seem to repeat now and again, with sometimes just a single straight as the variation, there are still 250 to choose from. Any complaints? Handling is spot on, and for the driving fanatics, the different feels and handling of the cars is perfect, having to master your vehicles is fun and you'll soon be tearing around the streets. For those with a steering wheel, pulling off a handbrake turn on the slopes of San Fransisco is a great feeling. My only complaints about the game are the music, some may find it annoying and repetitive, others may find it's style fun and exiting. The graphics, beautiful, and tearing around Trafalger Square at midnight is amazing, but at midday, you may wish for a bit more light, as it can be farely dull and overcast. These are minor complaints when a game is this well roun
ded, yes there are also a few glitches, but nothing that will stop you playing the game. Purchase this game and look forward to hours of racing fun around miles of track with 40 fantastic vehicles, you will not regret it. Oh yeah, and the TT Roadster kicks major arse.

- 07/03/01 Great review, though just a point, it would be a little easier to read if you separated it up into paragraphs.
Thanks
