Gauntlet Legends (DC) ... A long long time B.X. (before Xena) there was a game that was the king of hack and slash, a game called Gauntlet. In this game that is not that different to Diabilo II you have to kill thousands of Ogres, orcs, goblins, and other assorted minions of hell to get to the big bad, a really big demon summoned by a stupid wizard.(the originality of these game writers - it's incredible isn't it) At heart is is a faily basic S&D (search and destroy) game, you enter a dungeon (god knows why, you'd thing that people would figure out that dank dungeons and heroes don't mix) and try to find the exit, with the only thing stopping you is a ludicrous am... Gauntlet Legends (DC) ... Gauntlet. A classic game from the 80's, one that just seemed to eat more and more coins and time, however much you wanted to go home. Well, it's back, or to be more precise, something not at all familiar with slightly similar characters and the word 'Gauntlet' is back, and guess what? It's terrible. Looking like an N64 title is not a good start for a game that has been in development for so long that we had forgotten it was coming out. Also, when you play the game for 10 minutes and get bored, you know that something's up. Our old friend Mr Boredom kicks in very quickly and takes you over, almost begging you to play something else. Gauntlet Legends (DC) ... you're thinking to yourself.. "This sounds familiar" You feel you might of played this somewhere before? The Arcades perhaps? Yep, you're right, you're not imagining anything this is the true Arcade Classic come to life right on your TV screen! This game can't be far from perfect at all. Infact, perfect is an under-estimation of the game! Not only have they taken everything that the Arcade version had to offer, but they have cramed and added a whole lot more just for us lucky people AND for a an added bouns, you can have multi-players!
