Advantages: Wide variety of modes, Loads to unlock keeps you coming back for more, Unbeatable soundtrack, including OPM and Cypress Hill

Disadvantages: Not as good as Tony Hawks, The skaters, whilst proffesional, aren't particularly well-known, Tragically under-rated

MTV Skateboarding is one of those games that is very unknown. Infact I'm sure alot of Dreamcast owners are unaware the game even exists, let alone have played it. However, this is a great injustice, as MTV Skateboarding is a fine game.

Whilst not a Tony Hawk beater, it is still impressive. There are alot of tricks to do, in many different situations, from grinds to grabs. There are also many real skaters, although not huge names like Hawk. Each skater also has a huge selection of costumes and boards to unlock, which keeps you coming back for more.

There is also a wide variety of modes, from Lifestyle, where you must impress judges and collect photographs, to MTV hunt, which is a timed run to collect MTV logos, even a crazy Stunt mode, which sees you jumping cars and holes in the path.

Of course, one thing you'd expect from the MTV logo, is great music, and this is DEFENITLY evident. Cypress Hill and Deftones are in there, but the best song has to be the smash single Heaven Is A Halfpipe, by OPM. These tracks really add a skaters feel to the game.

Whilst it is not as great as Tony Hawks, it is a cheap alternative. I found a copy in Game for £15.
